Really happy with the weight of both panels. The soft panel I’ve pretty much forgotten that it’s in my backpack. The hard panel isn’t too noticeable but it’s definitely there. I do like the added rigidity because my work bag has a soft backing which definitely helps if I’m carrying something that might be oddly shaped enough to give me a poke or two. They are also not very tactical looking so the odd conversation with someone over what is that isn’t an issue. All in all I recommend both.

I received my level 3+(ICW) plates just a few days after placing my order. They are lightweight and thin and I’m looking forward to a much lighter plate carrier setup. I’m impressed with how far the technology has progressed in the armor industry. Hardwire LLC looks to be leading the charge forward! My only suggestion for making the website more informative and to better assist customers with their orders is to add a link or description for the SAPI plate size dimensions. For example a large SAPI plate is approx 10 1/8” x 13 1/4”, a small SAPI is approx 8 3/4” x 11 3/4”and so on. It helps out all us civilian folks who are not as familiar with SAPI cuts. Thank you for making great protection and keeping cutting edge armor affordable for the little guy.

bought clipboard and pad on black friday. Very happy with the purchase. Clipboard is very solid yet not heavy at all, much lighter than I expected. I am just sorry I did not know about this product earlier. Feel very save carrying it, wish I bought it long time ago.

I have purchased numerous ballistic plates, laptop inserts, clipboards, and even product samples from Hardwire. The lightest hard plates in the business. I'm even using the samples of their Level 3A product as side plates in the cumberbund of my main tactical vest. Their hard bulletproof Level 3A bag inserts weigh only one pound, and have a discreet appearance due to the colorful graphics which are available. Both the bag inserts and very discreet looking ballisticclipboardsare only a quarter inch thick.

The product is sturdy but flexible, completely covers face, doesn't slip down and is easy to assemble. It's also comfortable! Have given to several friends already and am ordering for all my adult relatives for Christmas.

It was a complete waste of my money..Rubber bands to hold a face shield on.. Ridiculous

The clip boards are a discreet alternative and perfect for the kids backpack. I had a few questions and the voice on the other end of the phone was genuinely enthusiastic to share her product knowledge.

I use a laser that fits in the chamber and projects a red dot when struck by a firing pin. It is great practice, but pointing a gun at some I do NOT want to shoot without a backstop is a dangerous habit. I clip a reflective target to the clipboard, hang it on a nail, and voila: all legal and safe. I have not tested the clipboard for stopping bullets and hope I never do.
