Brazil, Argentina & Chilean Fjords
A wonderful trip everything I expected and more. Julio was excellent and made everyday special. The day guides were all outstanding . Our group was very congenial which made the trip more enjoyable. I only wish we had another day in Buenos Aires to fully explore the city.

Amazing Trip to the Middle East
Different guides in each 'country' gave nuanced perspectives while explaining different political points of view. The food on the ship Clio was awesome and it was almost impossible not to overeat -- being full after excellent breakfast and lunch and then facing a four-course dinner, each course of which was inventively enticing. The January weather 'dampened' the comfort level of some of the excursions.

Excellent trip
Great trip! Some accommodations were slightly dated but all were great locations and very comfortable! Clean and great service! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and became an integral part of the enjoyment of the trip....always helpful and kept us on schedule! All the transportation was clean and comfortable! We had a great time throughout the trip. Never was the food bad...a couple of places were good but not great. Several of our dinners were exceptional!

Discover Thailand
Lin was one of the two best trip leaders I have had in all my years of traveling. Able to think on her feet and adapt to changing situations. Accessible, patient, good-natured and knowledgable. Suggestion: provide lanyards with attached name tags to wear for first few days. Suggest

Allure of the Adriatic
Our trip to Venice, Italy and Croatia was outstanding! Outstanding in so many ways. Sights. food, field trips, home-hosted meals, local guides, companions, hotel, and ship. But perhaps the mosy outstanding part of our trip was our trip leader and friend Louise. She was everything you would want in atrip leader and more. When you go on this trip, amd I think you should, I hope you have the good fortune to have Louise for your trip leader Rating for trip amd guide A plus

Chili. Argentina and Easter Island.
I liked everything about this trip. One of the best I've been on. Just the right amount of down time and many activities everyday. I loved all the hotels...all different but mostly charming. Our trip leader, Mariela, was fantastic. She truly made the trip fun, interesting and memorable. All of the other guides were really good.

Most beautiful country on earth
From North to South and Middle Earth, the majestic vistas, vibrant cities, and tranquil countrysides paint a breath-taking mosaic of the wonders of New Zealand. Our OAT Country Experience leader, Catherine Hickey, was amazing in sharing her encyclopedic knowledge of all things New Zealand and smoothly guiding us from adventure to adventure. Her suggestions for free time activities and meals were varied and spot on. For a group with an average age of mid 60's, it was well-paced. I highly recommend this trip.

Wow
This trip has a lot of variety. We visited cloud forest, rain forest, farms, beaches and cities. We met school children and entrepreneurs. We ate tropical fruits, savory picadillos, and lots of gallo pinto (rice and beans). The bird were stunning, but there were also mammals, amphibians, reptiles. Andres is an experienced guide with a wealth of knowledge about the natural world, a wonderful ambassador for his country. He also had us in stitches with accounts of his many adventures! What a fabulous experience!

Stunning scenery, lots of Penguins
Antarctica trips are expensive, but OAT’s trip is reasonable. The food is excellent, the expedition staff and crew are fantastic. All excursions to land were done in an efficient and safe manner. The ice and glaciers create stunning scenery. Watching penguins, whales and seals was memorable. Remember that it takes about 36 hours each way to cross the Drake passage, which can be very stormy. During at sea days there were plenty of educational lectures to attend, as well as on deck wildlife watching.

Fascinating trip!
Egypt’s archeological sites are in a league of their own. They live you with an awe, like no other. It was a trip of a lifetime.

This was a wonderful trip,
This was a wonderful trip, and I can think of nothing of any importance that I disliked. I do wish I could have taken a pre-trip or post-trip extension to see more, but a three-week trip was as much time as I could take off from work. I cannot say enough about our guides--both our tour guide, Lucky, as well as our local guides. They were all knowledgeable, responsive to questions, organized, and kind. Lucky often went above and beyond the call of duty when there were extraordinary circumstances, such as my son's need for guidance with travel outside of the tour, and a guest who got very sick and needed extra attention and medical assistance. The guides were very helpful to guests who needed special dietary preferences when at all possible. The trip was well-organized and was a good balance of activities and free time. We went to beautiful and interesting places, and had lovely accommodations. The food was always excellent, with enough variety that I never got tired of the same thing. On our free time there were always good suggestions of options for us to consider. I loved seeing the landscapes, the historical sites, and cultural/religious spaces. I loved Angkor Wat at sunrise! However, the times I most enjoyed were the immersive and personal contacts with local people. It is clear that OAT has an excellent network of people willing to share their lives with us. This allowed us to have the most personal experience possible with the people, who were so open and generous to us. We talked with village chiefs, Buddhist monks, a Viet Cong soldier, artists, dancers, and puppeteers, a woman who hunts for tarantulas to sell (and to eat!), local craftsmen, a rural midwife, a school teacher and her cute students, and a middle class family. I really had a sense of how the people live, work, learn, create, and worship. I was not sure I wanted to hear the dark side of the histories of these countries, but I find that as I tell people about my trip those are the stories I share ...
