Discover Thailand and Phnom Penh & Angkor Wat, Cambodia Pre Trip
We loved every minute of both trips. All (3) of our guides were excellent and the fellow travelers were good to travel with. All (3) guides were very spontaneous, looking for those unscheduled moments to meet with local people and learn about their lives. And yet, even though the allowed for those spontaneous moments, all (3) managed to stay very close to our schedule. All (3) guides were very interesting, knowledgeable, entertaining, organized and kind. This was our first OAT trip and we are very pleased. We will definitely travel with OAT again.

Lisa's Assessment of "Inside Vietnam"
I absolutely loved my trip to Vietnam and Cambodia!!!! Both our guides, Yan (Happy Buddha) in Vietnam and Ting in Cambodia, were absolutely magnificent. I loved Yan in particular for his attentiveness, his knowledge of history (so important that he teaches history on the side!!!), and, last but not least, his terrific sense of humor. One could not ask for a better tour guide. OAT, don't ever let him go. Ting, our Cambodian guide, was very different personality-wise, but equally attentive and informative. See more below

Fabulous trip to an exotic country
The big cities such as Casablanca and Marrakech are nice but the smaller towns are delightful. This is a gem of a country in North Africa with friendly people and many beautiful and diverse sites. There are beautiful beaches and magnificent mountains. The smaller towns are charming with many guest houses that date back a century or more but have been updated for the modern traveler.

Ultimate Galapagos Exploration and Ecuador
Our expectations were more than fulfilled. The knowledge, skill and caring nature of the guides was excellent. The value for the money was very good.

Route of the Mayan
If you are at all interested in the Mayans, you should take this trip. We did so much, experienced so much and gained a much better understanding of the cultures of Central America along with the problems. It's the mix that begs for more!

Great trip, great trip leader
The itinerary was awesome, the weather cooperated, the travelers bonded quickly and the trip leader was excellent. She managed the plans, the changes, each individual's interests and needs, and provided daily discoveries and learning. She was extremely thoughtful and hard-working.

An Ultimate trip!
This trip far exceeded my expectations. The trip leaders were fantastic - a walking encyclopedia of information but with a great sense of humor! The accommodations were great and the food was fantastic. Think we had the best chef ever for the Galapagos voyage!

A great vacatiom
My Egypt trip was one of my best vacations. Our leader, Walid, was terrific; we didn’t wait in line to enter museums or any exhibition, he offered opinions of Egyptian life, politics and culture. I never tired in seeing the Ancient tombs and pyramids. A great trip.

Amazing trip!
Our trip leader Bishoy has a wealth of knowledge about ancient and modern Egyptian culture and he made it all come alive for us with his fascinating stories. From riding camels, to seeing hieroglyphics in ancient temples, and meeting wonderful people during our home visits and activities, it was truly an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend it to everyone! Each day was exciting and different and there was so much to see and discover. You should definitely go!

Egypt and the Eternal Nile
Our Guide, Menna was THE most educated, thoughtful and compassionate person. Her knowledge of the the history of the ancient Egyptians was so incredible. The education I received was mind-blowing. Menna was very honest about herself and the ways of Egypt her country. She was very considerate of the vendors we visited and the locals where we had home visits. Menna cares deeply for the women of Egypt and is a wonderful role model for them. Every other guide I have had on other trips paled in comparison to Menna. Menna made this trip amazing and for that, I am grateful. I loved the boat we sailed on. Being on the water is very peaceful. The chef was wonderful, the boat sparkling clean, the crew friendly and attentive.

Safari Serengeti: Tanzania Lodge and Tented Safari
We saw and photographed lots of amazing animals thanks to our excellent guides. The lodges and tents provided good housing. We had a wonderful group of people to travel with.

Aus/NZ
One of the best trips I have been on. Darrin Ford made the trip so special with his knowledge, wit, and the extra activities he included. Holding the baby kangaroos at the sanctuary was the best. Highly recommend this trip with Darrin Ford.

A Fabulous trip
Our guide,Dario, was fantastic. We had so many learning and discoveries I can't count them all. The best canolis are in the cathedral in Palermo. They are huge, filled while you wait and superb! This trip also had the most amazing local guides..easy to understand and so very kowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this trip for this time of year and to be in Catania for the St Agatha celebration. At first I was leary of the crowds and craziness, but am so glad we could experience the 3rd largest Catholic celebration in the world. I am not even Catholic.

Great guides and fun itinerary
Loved the trip. Carlos and Allan were wonderful guide and driver who took care of all our needs while providing lots of local color. And they were experts at finding birds and animals for us to see!

Exceeded Expectations
My Peru experience was enhanced by our Trip Experience Leader, Walter Salvador Torres. Salvador's background as a university history professor and his local knowledge added to our understanding of Inca life and the influence of Pachakutiq. Highlights in Lima: - tour of waterfront and fresh ceviche - National Museum of Archaelogy Highlights in Sacred Valley: - Pisac and Ollantaytambo ruins - Local family visit and lunch Highlights in Machu Picchu: - Visiting ruins in afternoon and following morning with Salvador who has been to MP over 3000 times! Highlights in Cusco: - Curandero ceremony with local Shaman giving offerings to Pacha Mama - Local markets, including outdoor livestock market - Tipon ruins Hotels were more than satisfactory (albeit no air conditioning in any). Meals were adequate. It was wonderful having access to oxygen as the altitude adjustment was difficult for me. Recommendations: - Demographics of local host family would have been nice to bring more personalized gifts - No need for reusable water bottles. Only one hotel had filter water spigots - More free time in Lima and Cusco for exploring and shopping. Thank you OAT and Salvador for a memorable trip!

Best.Trip.Ever.
As I read the reviews of this trip prior to departing, they all pretty much said the same thing. “Great trip” Trip of a lifetime” No words can express how wonderful….” etc. How can a trip really be that great? Well, now my own review is going to sound like all the others. This was my first trip with OAT and my 3rd trip to Africa. There is something about the continent that speaks to me and this trip exceeded all my expectations from prior visits. The pre-trip to the Masa Mara was led by George, who not only tracked, explored, lead, taught but also inspired us all. The unexpected late ending to the rainy season brought added rain, green lands and happy animals with the abundance of water and food. It was a gift to experience it all. The accommodations, food and drivers proved that extraordinary hospitality lives in all parts of the world. Our main trip leader, Joshua, brought the country of Tanzania alive for all of us by providing such intimate “learning and discovery” opportunities that ultimately rivaled the animal viewing. I feel so much more knowledgeable about the Maasai and Iraqw tribes, the Serengeti ecosystem and the Tanzanian culture. We saw the Big 5, delivered safe water filters to villages, experienced the “great migration,” connected with school children and all became very close by sharing so much. Our trusty drivers, Miya, Joseph and Cosmos, took good care of us and drove through many challenging circumstances, professionally and safely. They shared personal stories and were part of our “travelling family” that bonded together. As many reviews before me, this trip was a trip of a lifetime! The food delicious and plentiful, the accommodations perfect and the people delightful. OAT surpassed my expectations and I look forward to travelling with them again in the future.

Boquette pre-trip was very interesting. Canal Zone portion gave us new insight Into building the old canal and the new locks. The real treat was the MS/Discovery trip down the canal. Excellent food. Down in the locks with huge tankers in the same lock. Awesome!

The Nile
The trip was everything I had imagined and then some. Our Guide Rasha Donia gave us a wonderful glipse of today's Egypt as well as the Egypt of 2500 BC.
