It was a fabulous trip and there was nothing I disliked. Our Trip Leader, Abdou, added much to the whole trip with his warmth, friendly, outgoing way and great sense of humor. He seems to be totally unflappable and enjoys life immensely. He also provided interesting insights into Berber life in Morocco. I was stunned by the beauty of the Riad Salam Fez and the staff is expert at assisting their guests. Would certainly recommend it to anyone. I was also amazed at the comfort of the desert tent complex. It is more accurately desert glamping, not camping and was quite comfortable. And being able to actually ride a camel was an amazing experience - one I'm very glad to have had the opportunity to do. I also enjoyed all of the learning and discovery experiences both the planned ones and the ones Abdou was able to arrange spontaneously. There was such an abundance of information and experiences that I'm still processing the whole trip in my head and will be writing it down soon. I have not one negative thing to say about the trip and was impressed with OAT's thoroughness and expertise in covering all matters related to it. I would most definitely recommend the trip to a friend(s).

Another fantastic trip with OAT. Our trip leader Paulo and all the local guides were the best we have had in all of our travels. The country is gorgeous, the cities fascinating, and the people exceptional. The fears about safety are completely in the past. We never once felt any concerns walking in any of the cities or small villages. Mostly we felt pride and acceptance. And although we had heard the food was average, this too turned out to be incorrect. We had remarkable meals, both wit OAT and on our own. A great journey.

An adventure of a lifetime. Both guides, Henry and Daniel had amazing surprises for us everyday. From the major cities to the smallest towns and islands there was always something to learn about and experience. I was very excited to climb in Machu Picchu and snorkel in the Galapagos, which did not disappoint, but all our other adventures were just as exciting and gratifying. One of my favorite experiences in Peru was a ceremony led by a Shaman where we all participated to ask for a safe and excellent trip to Machu Picchu. It was an amazing experience speaking to “Mother Earth.” It worked! In Equador, several of us went with our guide to watch the sunrise and to swim in crystal clear lava water surrounded by lava cliffs. Breathtaking. So glad I got up at 5:30 am to go. It is a very active trip. Believe the hype about altitude and walking on uneven rocks. We did not stop!

Patagonia great.... Buenos Aires part of the trip average!

This trip was well worth the month we spent including the pre- and post-trips. Our trip leaders, Anle (in Vietnam) and Ting (in Cambodia), were outstanding. They wanted to make sure that we all had a great time and we did. Given the coronavirus outbreak, their attention to our health was appreciated. What was surprising about this trip was the amount of time we got to spend with local folks and that they seemed fine with Americans notwithstanding the wars. We saw outstanding sights, but it was really the interaction with the local people that stood out.

Did not know what to expect but our two guides showed us more than just the sites. Small 12 member group was a great size and we had options to see some extra things like an agave production business, dinner at the ethnographic museum, stop at a wood working workshop, and meet people of the street. Lots of planned cultural experiences helped us to get a feel of the culture of Equador. Sure did get in plenty of steps walking streets and trails and the snorkel experiences were all so varied. Then there were the special efforts made by both Marcelo and Jairo... and the crew. Feel like we will remember this experience as so much more than a trip.

We had an amazing time seeing temples, learning about the cultures, seeing up-front how families lived in the Day-in-the-Life portion with visits to Hmong communities off the Mekong River, and an elementary school, a visit to a floating village via river boat. Most excellent guide - Oleang who went above and beyond in seeing to my needs and I can not thank her enough. As well, our local guides were excellent too. We saw a lot, and packed a lot of adventure/history in - with an eye towards both unveiling darker aspects of their past - Killing Fields,(Cambodia) land mine issues (COPE - Laos ) as well as seeing food markets, and daily life in a small villages and big cities. Accommodations and planned details were superb, with levels of participation available. For a single traveler, it was probably the only way to go and SEE a lot. Thank you.

Wonderful, busy trip through this beautiful country with the friendliest of people. So many highlights it is hard to say which was the top one. Abundance of local food which was delicious. Sometimes in small local restaurants, others from street vendors. Enough free time to be able to enjoy massages or bike rides. We had the BEST tour guide, Nop.

My wife and I both enjoyed this cruise very much. It was the first OAT trip for both of us and we were not disappointed. Ivan, our Tour Representative took great care of us and made sure that everything went smoothly from start to finish. We cannot say enough about the crew of the MV Athena. They were wonderful and attentive to our needs. It was a very memorable holiday. Thank you all.

trip was well paced in Jordan and less so in Israel. Surprise to all members of trip that all hotels in Jordan were dry. Needs to be pointed out before booking. One day less for Israel and one extra for Jordan would have been better. Marked difference between the guides

This is a great trip! Interesting and educational.

A wonderful Best of South America adventure tour led by superb guides who enrich the experience sharing personal stories, how historic events, geography and politics impact their lives. Bucket list adventures and surprises along the way. I did not need my Deet, mosquito netting or Yellow Fever shot...never saw a mosquito! Be prepared to travel a lot, pack for both hot and cold and plan suitcase with cubes to minimize repacking with each move.

Outstanding trip Leader

This was my first OAT adventure and it far exceeded my expectations. I loved every minute and was especially impressed with our trip leader, Goodluck Kombe. He was extremely personable, and he did an excellent job from start to finish. His knowledge of the people, culture, animals and landscape was exceptional, and the game drives were phenomenal. Our three Kibo guides (Bonaface Faustine, Ridas Laizer and Stanley Watson) were also wonderful. They were all very knowledgeable, wise and confident. Their driving skills were very impressive, and they worked hard every day to make sure we had a good view of all of the magnificent animals. I left a piece of my heart in East Africa. I look forward to returning soon and I thank you for this unforgettable adventure.

Closely observing the beauty and nature of Antarctica was a privilege that I will always value. The enormity and uniqueness of each snow-covered mountain and blue-white iceberg was thrilling to view at such a close distance. Our expert guides and naturalists continually presented information that greatly enhanced our appreciation of the cycle of nature and animal behavior.

This trip was wonderful thanks to our fabulous trip leader, Mustafa. The country and its citizens are quite remarkable. The desert and its dunes are quite beautiful. The markets are bountiful with so much food, clothing, items for the home and many various collectibles. Our group was great. I highly recommend Morocco as a destination.

An outstanding experience. My expectations were surpassed.

the weather was kind in January. Traffic takes a little getting used to. Food was very good throughout the trip. thoughtfully planned home hosted and home visits. Our trip leader was simply excellent, Tho was one of the best we have had in 14 trips, a real asset to OAT.
