Simply works great! no surprises during install or afterwords.

For me Tailwind has delivered everything it promises. My door opens automatically on approach using the Moko H2 vehicle sensor. The Tailwind door opener integrates well into Apple Home and Apple CarPlay. I also find that support was very good when i needed it.

A great addition to an already awesome product

The Tailwind opener is my third and last opener. All of the others were flimsy and their controllers gave up the ghost after a year or two. In the harsh Canadian winters the battery operated open/close modules either froze or the battery died. The Tailwind magnetic signaller is sturdy and operates without a battery. The parts are easy to setup (though a bit time-consuming). It is the only opener which easily connects to both LAN and WAN. I think it will outlive the garage door.

I had a myQ opener system before this Tailwind, the myQ system didn’t do half of what this Tailwind system does. Easy to install works great with my overhead door legacy garage door opener would recommend to anyone.

Great device. Works like a charm with no major issues. Install was very challenging. The device can only install on 2. 5 ghtz WiFi frequency. My home WiFi only had 5 ghtz option. Took quite a bit of research to figure out how to trick the system to get it to connect. Once it made the connection setup was easy. Total time to install Tailwind and sync 2 remote car devices was roughly 2 hours. I purchased 2 tailwinds to operate 2 garage doors and 3 car remotes. Doors open and close automatically when reach a certain distance. The arrival distance works very well. The closest you can set the departure distance is 250 feet. With the speed of the car driving away, it feels more like 750 feet so garage doors is not insight. I set up via apple automation to see icon in apple play on dashboard. Unfortunately when using door 1, the icon only shows up for door 2 and switching to door 1 is not an option. I am surprised the icon in apple play does not default to the door matched to the remote sensor. Still love this product and easy to operate once installed.

I was a little skeptical and expected some headaches getting this set up. There were none. It was easy to set up and works exactly like it should. Flawless CarPlay integration that pops up when we enter our neighborhood and disappears when we drive away. Can’t recommend highly enough. Shipped quick.

I overthought the wiring diagrams and confused myself, but after some trial and error I got it to work. Now everything is seamless. This is the best kind of smart home tech: something you set up once and then forget about once it integrates into your normal routine.

We installed the Tailwind IQ3 2. 1 on our main garage door and it's been easy and great! We have some family that need access at times and it was easy to share access for them. Make sure you watch the specific video for your product and then the install is easy.

I bought this because while I have a smart garage door opener and android auto capability on my motorcycle, the liftmaster app has no android auto capability and I had to stop and fish my phone out of my pocket every time I came and went. With the Tailwind, I just pull out of the garage and ride away knowing the door will close behind me. When I come home, it's set so that it's rolling up as I pull into the driveway. PERFECT Implementation! Connected to my smart garage door easily too!

The product was shipped very quickly, although it takes a few extra days to get it from Canada. Tracking was provided and it was well packed.

We have been using the Trailwind garage door controller and the vehicle sensors for the past couple of weeks and we love them. Very straight forward setup and so far so good. No issues whatsoever. I had to purchase two differenet units to use on 2 doors due to my shop door not bwing attached to my home garage. But it work great. I have mine setup to open shop door and the house garage door as I pull up since I park my truck in the shop but always go thru the house garage to enter my home. Works perfect. Way more capabilities than my old MyQ setup. If you are wondering if you should go this route, just do it, you won't regret it.

My opener is somewhat of a relic and this system was still compatible by following the recommendations their support folks sent me in an email question. Been using it for a month now without any issues at all.

Fantastic product, easy to install. Allows me to automate and control my liftmaster garage door openers. Connection to Siri is a bonus.
