We got the Gabb Phone 4 Pro because it is recommended for ages 12-16 and I have three boys who fall in that age range. I wanted to be able to give them more freedom and independence with the Gabb phone for texting and calling friends without worrying about social media and other internet exposures. The safety features for texting, being able to set boundaries for their location that would notify me and clean music streaming are all a big plus. I really like the notifications for flagged texts as well as the video calls ending if they detect nudity. While that isn't a big concern at this time, it is a feature worth mentioning given today’s outside influences. With the Advanced Plan we have access the over 300+ apps and Gabb lists possible concerns like internet access in the description. There are a lot of educational apps and fun games available. I would recommend the Gabb Phone 4 Pro as a good product for safeguarding our kids and my boys are happy with it too.

This is a great beginner phone for my boys. There’s no distractions just calling, messaging and approved apps. I allow them to take this to school to use to contact me in the case of an emergency and I know they won’t be distracted by the phone doing unnecessary things and not focus. Definitely a great product.

My favorite part is that my mom isn't stressing out 24/7. She uses the GPS tracking in the MyGabb app to see he got home safely, so she isn't blowing up my phone asking where he is anymore. A huge win. Plus, the Smart Filter Messaging means there's way less drama with weird texts or group chats, which is a relief for everyone. And Leo doesn't even hate it, which is shocking lol. He's always listening to his own playlists on Gabb Music, and since we have the Advanced Plan, he can download some cool, parent-approved apps from the Gabb App Store. He can still text his friends and take pictures, so he feels like he has a real smartphone without all the social media junk that I know my parents were worried about. It has all the basic functions you need: calls, messages and camera, but without distractions or social networks. The battery lasts a long time and the screen is resistant. It reassures me to know that you have a functional phone, but protected from everything you don't need at your age.

My 9 year old was begging for a cell phone because her friend (whose parents are divorced) has one. I think 9 is WAY too young for a cell phone. When we introduced the Gabb Watch as a family cell phone wearable that we all share, they loved it. Anyone who is going on a playdate or slumber party gets to wear it. It's easy for the kids to use and they can't get online or download apps. I feel safe with it and the kids feel like they got one over on us. The app on my cell phone tells me when the watch is powered on and I can check on their location. Very easy to use. The only thing I'd say negative is that its designed for kids and the icons on the watch are small so my old eyes can't see them without my glasses but my kids are totally nimble with it! They like the fitness tracking screen and it got my son to value getting his steps in! Win win. And if you introduce it as a SHARED FAMILY DEVICE, it helps alot with keeping everything balanced.

This was a great way to be able to stay connected to my boys but not have to worry about all the social media sides to having devices. They had no issue using it and everything was very easy. Will be getting for my younger son when he is older.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the location. It didn't update often which defeated the purpose of having the phone. The call quality was great and we never had an issue with the actual phone.
