Thank You Furnace Part Source for having and selling a modernized Heating Control Board for my 1984 install date of a Payne Furnace here in Seattle. As an amateur furnace repair man as you will soon see, problems first started with a furnace that would run and then not restart when the thermostat called for it. I incorrectly replaced the spark igniter first. That did not fix the problem. I then incorrectly targeted the main gas valve as faulty. Replacement of it with a used one failed to solve the issue. Then I thought it could only be the circuit board. I ordered 2 used ones from Ebay. . One had cooling and heating control, the other was heating only. Both of them caused a new problem. They failed to start the main fan and that is dangerous. I installed the new Board from ICM Controls that you sell and it too failed to start the fan. I put the old board back in and it properly delay starts and delay stops the fan but the failure to auto restart heating via the thermostat still remains. Since I do not understand the electronics behind these control boards I am without the skill to know where a jumper must be used to get those other 3 units to work. I want to get the ICM board to work but need help with it's wiring. Since my original board worked it seems unlikely I mis-wired any of the three earlier replacements. My furnace has a toggle switch added by the original installers to set the fan on or into auto. I suspect this is where my understanding has fallen short. Does anyone out there know what it is that I am missing about this twilight Zone problem? I want to use the ICM Board because I do not trust the old style mechanical relay even though it still is working. Does anyone there at furnace PS have any solution for me. Thanks. . . Jeff P. P. S. When the furnace fails to start from a call via the thermostat ah. . . I would have to go to the basement and smack the unit lightly and the igniter would start the unit. Sometimes it will run for days until it hangs up. ...

Looked at part one day. Asked over chat to clarify on whether motor and module were sold together. Answer came up the following week (original inquiry was Friday so not a lot of time). Ordered part. It was shipped UPS and they refused to drop it off w/o signature at our shop. All things considered, took nearly 2 weeks to get the part that we wanted for a client to fix a furnace. Pros: Question answered online was answered correct Part was correct and fit in Lennox unit Pricing was comparable to the actual Lennox part stores Part was available originally Cons: Still took almost 2 weeks total to have the fan motor/module in my hand and ready to install
