Awesome espresso maker. I’ve owned
Awesome espresso maker. I’ve owned the original Flair Neo since it came out and upgraded to the bottomless basket with the pressure gauge. Two problems though, capacity and preheating. By design nothing I could do there, and that meant less espresso brewing for me which is just sad. Finally enter the day I get the 58 Plus 2! Everything is solved and I am excited to make espresso again. The workflow isn’t a chore, it’s enjoyable and I can focus on what’s important about the process instead of workflow details. I’m still learning but love it so far. I don’t regret starting with a cheaper model so I could learn (also the 58 wasn’t out yet) but now I could see the argument of just starting with the 58 if 1. Your budget allows and 2. You know you’re into the espresso game. I’ll be honest, I make espresso pretty infrequently so I was content with the budget Flair, I just didn’t drink much espresso. Now though, I look forward to making espresso and will enjoy it more often. I think the 58 Plus 2 strikes a good balance of letting me dive into the (very deep) world of espresso without spending money on gear and time on maintenance.

I didn’t give it 5
I didn’t give it 5 stars only because the Auto function is terribly annoying. I literally keep the instructions by the scale to make sure I was not doing anything wrong but two times out of three the scale would start the auto timer at the wrong time, e. g. when I was just putting the beans in the dosing cup, or when I put the coffee cup on it. It would be great if there were a “let me weigh the beans and tell you when I’m about to make coffee” instead of that strict procedure. Otherwise, in manual mode, it’s a very good scale.

Customer service
Abbey R was a great help when my espresso gauge wasn’t working long after I had received it. After sending a video of me using it and a screenshot verifying that it had been purchased off of Amazon, she promptly sent a replacement. All of her responses were quick and easy to follow, and I could tell she genuinely wanted to help with my issue. I have always loved my Flair Neo, and this customer service interaction has solidified my loyalty to Flair as a company. Personal, effective, and pleasant. I will and already have recommended Flair products to anyone who has a remote interest in coffee.

An old materials engineer (semiconductor
An old materials engineer (semiconductor manufacturing) new to espresso brewing, love being able to control temperature and pressure and flow (indirectly) with grind-size. Watched many "how to dial-in espresso videos" and was able to get to "good" after just a few tries. Tactile feedback with the handle is fun and functional.

As someone who used a
As someone who used a manual espresso machine for the first time, the Flair 58 felt a bit intimidating at first. It definitely took me some time to get familiar with the process, but that’s also what made it so satisfying. There’s something incredibly enjoyable about dialing in each shot and being involved in every step. And when you finally pull that perfect espresso—exactly the way you want it—it’s an amazing feeling of accomplishment. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Flair 58. It’s not just a coffee machine—it’s an experience.

This thing is great. Beautifully
This thing is great. Beautifully designed, works as expected. Definitely a step up in my espresso game. It’s so easy to steam milk even a beginner like me can make awesome, fluffy, latte art milk. The only downside is it’s a little hard to clean. I know it’s just got water in the chamber but I like to drain it, wipe it out and completely dry it. It is almost impossible to do that. The opening is too small for a hand or even to adequately stuff a towel into. Plus that edge is super sharp. It will cut you. Other than that it’s solid as a rock, fun to use and super safe.

No complaints. Shipping was fast,
No complaints. Shipping was fast, product was undamaged and the whole experience went smoothly. I even feel that the additional accessories they encourage you to purchase/advertise actually make sense and don't seem necessarily pushy.
