Very poor set up with camera and detector. The screws come loose and magnet after a couple uses stops holding the device and even the replacement does something and the radar portion does not pick up signals quick enough or misses signals and has alot of false readings. . . is worse type of system bought. I would have went with cobra or a passport system knowing this.

When you're shelling out 800+ bucks for their superior radar offerings - seems very petty and annoying to be nickeled and dimed on Defender Subscription - to feed their corporate hunger and greed for repeating annual revenues. Will certainly not consider Escort in the future - unless this changes. They're other premium choices available (Uniden, Valentine Research, and Radenso) which I will most certainly seek first.

The detector is adequate, but the power cord is not strong enough to withstand when the mount comes loose. The cord breaks from the power connector. Why can't this also be wireless?

Awesome Radar Unit

eagerly awaiting the "we're sorry you're having technical issues, but have you tried. . . " response to my plea to make the settings available when the unit is off/not paired. brings back memories of my last purchase over 10 years ago when the same issues happened. average support for a high-dollar top-tier purchase that still doesn't fix the issue. a simple notification of, "we're about to make updates using cell data because there's no wifi, are you okay with this? yes or no?" would literally fix half the problems i have with their flagship radar detector. the cast of the movie, "hackers" would have it fixed and be enjoying a dip in their school's rooftop pool by now. there's gotta be a better way to do this
