I am so thankful companies like Embark exist. My dog Priscilla came from a bad breeding situation and I’ve always been concerned about the possibility of IVDD. When researching different pet insurance companies I decided to order the full Breed and DNA test kit to determine the scope of insurance I needed for her. Embark showed me she has a higher risk for IVDD specifically and it really helped me choose what insurance to go with. I will definitely be buying these kits for all of my future fur babies.

Test results took WAYY too long to be processed after the swab “arrived at the lab”. Health info was a money grab. It provided no helpful info. Breed info was cool.

Quick service

It was so easy! I ordered the test and it arrived a few days later. The results came a few weeks later. I recommend to anyone who doesn't know their dog's age!

Test results are good, I believe them to be accurate. I’d thought my dog was shepherd/husky with a little something else. The test confirmed it’s Great Pyrenees. However, I have nothing but issues with the website since you went to a password for a login. It says it is sending a magic link, but it never arrives. And yes, I’ve checked my junk folder. And my inbox and focused. And yes, the email address on file is correct. It’s so incredibly frustrating that can’t just login and see my results whenever I want. I have to contact customer support for a magic link every time I get logged out, and for every device. I probably won’t use embark again.

Customer service was great and sent a replacement when I mailed out the sample without registering it.
