This is my third review on this site. I first reviewed the Ama Medic Hilux chair when I bought it a couple of years ago, then I reviewed my sales experience with Heather just a few weeks ago when I ordered a different chair. Now it's time to review this new chair. I bought the Ogawa Refresh L for my parents. i didn't want to spend a lot of money but wanted to get something they would like and that would be beneficial to their health. I was very nervous about spending this kind of money on a chair, sight unseen, for my parents so I first refreshed my memory on their return policy. The fact that they only charge a flat fee of $250.00 for return shipping (not the full shipping cost) reassured me that in the worst case scenario I would only risk $250.00. That made it worth the risk for me. Heather listened to my parents' needs with great care and helped me choose the Ogawa Refresh L. When it arrived I was slightly disappointed because I was subconsiously comparing it to my own Hilux. My mistake. Of course you cannot compare features between a $1,900 chair (on sale) and a much more expensive chair (now about $5,000 on sale). Initially I was disappointed the Ogawa didn't have a couple of the programs I was accustomed to, and that it wasn't as agressive on my back as I wanted, but then I remembered this is for my parents, not for me. The six automatic programs and multiple manual options, combined with the fact this is a 2D chair, make this a great choice for older folks who need a more gentle touch. That means this chair won't "dig" into their back like the 3D and 4D chairs do. Also, the 32 airbags provide an important assist to the blood circulation throughout their body. The foot massage is also easier for them to get into and out of because you don't need to work your feet down into the "boot" of some of the chairs like mine. Needless to say, covid caused some issues during the shipping/delivery process but throughout it all, Heather was fantastic. Now I have decided to buy another massage chair for my parents and it was a simple decision to return to emassagechair.com. Must say I have not been disappointed in that decision. Again, I dealt with Heather and found she is just as fantastic as before. Not only is she extremely customer focused, she went out of her way to research and identify the best possible solution for my specific needs. My parents just celebrated their 70th anniversary so they are not in the best of health and can't tolerate a massage that is too intense. They both need something that will focus more on their lower backs and legs instead of their upper backs. Heather went above and beyond to help me. I felt as though I was one of her own family members. Her care and concern shine like a beacon. I cannot recall ever working with a customer service representative more personable, considerate, and genuinely careing about her customers than Heather. I recommend this company, and Heather, without question. If you need a massage chair, this is the company you need to deal with. You will never regret it.
