Really great product and excellent service

Everything worked well for the purchase, apart from the daypack not in stock which meant the whole order was held up till that was available. Luckily I noticed that so contacted them to ask for the order to be split so my main rucksack could be delivered in time for my trip!

Arrived with my daypack, looks great quality, not used it yet but will update you when I do.

I wanted to downsize from the massive rucksacks I’ve been travelling with most of my life. So I bought the Salkan ‘pair’, one hooks to the other - and I made a number of flights. UK to Vietnam and back and 5 internal flights in Asia - and managed to carry the pair as hand luggage every time. The front opening on the bigger bag is brilliant but the front hook-loop on the smaller bag seems to have been sewn slightly tight and can be a annoying at times - thus, 4 out of 5. Also, the top cover of the larger bag doesn’t seem to pull tight. I wanted to ask the manufacturer about this… The pair did 10 days tied to the back of a motorcycle and experienced an amount of rain - without issue. It was comfortable enough to wear. The method of operating the strings at the top of the bag is different - but works well. And the hooks rather than the more usual snap-together things are okay too.

I bought the carry on backpack for a four-week trip down the coast of Spain jumping on and off the trains. I flew out RyanAir, with the bag being "paid for" carry-on luggage. Absolutely no issues at all with the bag sizing, although I did take the waist strap off before boarding the plane just in case the bag sizing police stopped me. It was only 10 kgs when full. It was so comfortable on the trip and more than enough room for everything I needed. I had two packing cubes in the bag and they are definitely worth buying as an extra. Overall highly recommended.
