Gorgeous sweater! From a distance it looks like suede or denim but it is pure cotton. It is incredibly soft and flattering because it drapes at the hips. My only worry is that it feels thin and the stitching looks a little sparse along some of the seams. I do hope it lasts for a long time since it’s so beautiful and comfortable. I ordered a 3X and it fits very comfortably although the toggles are a little loose. I’m 5’5”, 42 DD and it fits a little loosely but it does gap across the chest on occasion so I might get some buttons or fasteners to keep it from doing that. Otherwise, I love this jacket because it makes me look so cool.

I've ordered three things from Dark Cottage so far. They're all beautiful but the first two items have had issues with the sizing running small. Shipping is pretty good and quality seems mostly good except for my Conjurer's Coat which got a hole after a few months light use and the buttons are unravelling. I really like that coat so I'm disappointed in the quality of that. But otherwise I'm excited to see what this company comes up with in the future.

Ordering something online is always a risk, but this one paid off. The coat is as described and good down to about 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and you can trust me on this as I live in Minnesota - you can use it through winter if you're somewhere warmer, obviously. It's not my winter coat but I'm thrilled with this as my spring and fall coat. It's long enough to offer good coverage in a wind, the pockets are big enough to actually use, and it's well-made. It came less than a week after I ordered it. My friends have all admired it, they all like the asymmetrical cut and the green accents. The only downside is that fleece loves cat hair, so you have to bust out the cat hair roller.

I appreciated the coupon code that prompted me to purchase some pieces I'd been eyeing for a long time. Initially I ordered everything in size 2X based on their size chart, but that was actually too big. I was able to exchange the three pieces for a smaller size, which took a while but was otherwise seamless. I've enjoyed wearing what I ordered.

This was a limited edition product. I ordered it the size I was, and lost a significant amount of weight. I wore it once, and found, at its tightest, it was falling off my waist and hips. Exchanged it for a smaller size, which is an amazing fit, the return process was easy, and the customer service and communication throughout the process was great.

It’s a great company! When it didn’t fit they paid postage costs back to them and sent a replacement quickly. I loved working with them!

The people who work here are so kind and helpful!!! And the clothing they make is amazing and such great quality!!!! I bought one of their beautiful Morrigan dresses in green and black a few years ago at the Virginia Renaissance Festival and it has held up beautifully. I am excited to be getting another of those dresses (but this time in blue and gray) and a skirt from them soon, too. Wonderful customer service and amazing quality of items. 😊😊💕💕✨️✨️

I had to return the first dress but the replacement process was flawless and I'm happy with my purchase. The dress is more flattering on me than the picture shows and I love that the buttons are sewn shut so that there is no pulling. The material is good quality. I have a hardtime finding cottage sryle things that are green so I love this dress.

Love it! The material is fairly heavy and of good quality, and the stitching is beautiful. I second what another reviewer said about the top button - for bustier ladies, unbuttoning the top button prevents that stretching look in the front. And, I'm not revealing too much skin around the kids and my new in laws! An absolute unicorn in the dress world for people like me. I wore the dress for my outdoor wedding. I'm delighted to have found it, and to have gotten it in less than a week! (I got expidited shipping just in case)
