Great book recapping the full year with write ups on each game, stats and photos
I have been on the hunt for a planner that has exactly what I need in it for a couple years. I recieved this planner last year for 2025 and it was absolutely perfect! I use planners to mark appointments, paydays, and other noteworthy dates, as well as budgeting and grocery lists. The weekly spread has a good split between space on each day as well as a lined section for notes on each page. I love to keep all my thoughts in one space, so having the different spaces helps to keep things clean and organized. The monthly tabs are helpful for quickly locating the current month. Rating 4 stars instead of 5 for the following nit-picky suggestions: 1. I wish there was one extra page of lined paper at the end of the month (currently 1 page single sided) 2. I wish there was an elastic loop to hook a pen on. You can of course hook it on the metal ring, but it affects opening/shutting the book. I cannot wait to purchase the 2026 version!
This book was such a captivating read! You instantly connect with her characters and are moved by their experiences. Once you begin your read, you’re thoroughly immersed in the mystery of this book.
This book is wonderful! It really taught me a lot about the communication skills with people I love. It improved my life quality
Such a sweet, heartwarming story with a great message and beautiful illustrations! Bought to read with my niece and she loved it. We can't wait for the next Webster adventure!
Excellent read and a new author too. Glad to see su h amazing works out of Canada.
I loved this gentle journey exploring the craft of being observant and writing. Richard gives bite size pieces of wisdom for writers and travellers to think about and use to create richer, more engaging word pictures for readers.
This book is an engaging and enjoyable read. The story is well written and keeps the reader interested from beginning to end. The author does a good job of developing the plot and characters, making the book easy to follow and understand. One of the strongest parts of the book is how it presents its themes and ideas. The writing style is clear, and the events of the story flow smoothly. While some parts may feel slower than others, they do not take away from the overall quality of the book. Overall, this is a good book that I would recommend to many readers. It is entertaining and meaningful, and it leaves a positive impression after finishing it.
I would say, compared to other Dark Romance Books, this isn‘t a safe love story and not a gentle one. It‘s about wanting someone who could ruin you - and letting them anyway. I love this story with its strong slow-burn. So I‘ve devoured Louis in three days ;-)
Bought this book a few months ago! So well done! Attractive and easy to use. This is a great gift!
Thundering Hearts is a dense, high-stakes continuation of Samantha Gonda’s dark fantasy saga - one that demands attention and rewards it. This is not a passive read. Between the layered politics, shifting alliances, and multiple points of view, this is a book best approached with focus and intention. Give it your full attention and it will pay you back. One of the standout strengths of this installment is its creature-rich worldbuilding. Sirens, sea wraiths, hylba, and other mythic beings are not decorative - they are integral to the plot, the power structures, and the looming sense of danger. For readers who love fantasy worlds populated by diverse, well-integrated creatures, this book delivers consistently and confidently. The multi-POV structure allows the story to unfold on a truly epic scale. Aria’s arc remains particularly compelling: a queen shaped by rage, loss, and the crushing weight of leadership. Her failures carry consequences, and her choices feel costly rather than convenient. Viggo’s descent into internal fracture and reckoning with betrayal adds emotional gravity, while Mayta and Raask expand the narrative outward, deepening both the political intrigue and the mythological foundations of the world. Romance exists, but this is ultimately epic fantasy first, romance second. The emotional tension is slow-burning and restrained, woven into the larger narrative rather than driving it. Readers expecting romance-heavy pacing or constant intimacy should adjust expectations accordingly. The payoff here comes from complexity, not immediacy. This is a book to sit down with - not one to skim between distractions. The plot, the politics, and the cast require attention, but the reward is a richly imagined world where gods stir, monsters rise, and nothing comes easily. Overall, Thundering Hearts is a strong, ambitious sequel that will appeal to readers who enjoy dark fantasy with immersive worldbuilding, morally complex characters, and a wide range of creatur...
Great read !! Super informative and gives the reader insight and perspective.
This is my 7th year buying a jumbo calendar and I love it! The previous review says that January is already filled out but it’s just a cover page, there is a blank January behind it! I love that this one has a section for notes & to-do’s because we also use our calendar for reminders of things we’re running low on (dishwasher pods, toilet paper, etc) because we check it every day
What a vulnerable and raw piece of work. A book that will make you reflect and recognize that everyone has a story and we should reward vulnerability rather than stifle it.
𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 𝒃𝒚 𝑾𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑵𝒐𝒘! 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑱𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆. Home to Christmas Island, by Emma Davie. $3. 99 on Kobo or Indigo. Perhaps it’s the constant streaming of Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas that has me in the mood to read romance and Christmas stories. If you, too, are reaching for a tranquil state of the heart, buy yourself a copy of Emma Davie’s charming new novel, Home to Christmas Island. Up until downloading this bracing romance, I knew Emma primarily as one of the best reporters at CBC Nova Scotia. (For example, her recent awesome feature on a Nova Scotia woman going to England for a 75th class anniversary) When I worked there, she seemed able to do any job in the newsroom with skill and passion. Out on the streets reporting, or behind a desk producing the news, she always brought a high standard with her. No surprise she brings the same talent and tenacity to the page. Home to Christmas Island is set in the real place on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. As our heroine Florence MacLeod speeds back into her hometown for a winter wedding and glum remembrances, she gets pulled over by a cheeky Scottish cop. She’s never heard of him, but he seems well-informed about her. He gives her a ticket and tells her to slow down. She speeds off. Florence tries to keep a bright smile as she helps her childhood friend Alba prepare a dream wedding with her wife-to-be Rose, but that dang cop keeps turning up. And she discovers he knows a lot more about her childhood than he’s let on. Emma writes with a fine touch, creating unique people in familiar places. The people in this book are struggling with real problems, and reading them will help you handle your own as you feel the push and pull of holiday cheer/fear. This is her first novel, so you should spend $3. 99 now and buy it on your phone. Put your the app on your home screen and every time you pick up your phone, read for five minutes instead of checking your socials. It w...
I have used this for years and I love it. has lots of room to write in.
This book was a quick and engaging read. Lyrical yet succinct, each chapter is dedicated to the exploration of one of the zodiac signs, sharing the story of how it came to be, then highlighting the themes/qualities of each. My favorite are the reflection questions at the end of each chapter that invite one to consider the shadow side of that zodiac, delivered like little truth bombs. Now a fixture on my coffee table, it's fun for folks to read their zodiac section and ponder the questions out loud (if they dare)!
5. 0 stars — A must‑read for healthcare administrators and clinicians. Practical, actionable, and inspiring. Strong emphasis on protecting patients and embedding safety into organizational culture.
The story captivated me the entire time. Very fast paced, and can't wait for the next one.
