Thank you to the author for reaching out with a copy of his novella. Here are my thoughts, A novella connected to The Accursed Venge Seeker, follows Jaya as we see a dystopian setting and violence due to war surrounding her. The Freedom Fighters are a secret militant group fighting against the Empire and Jaya is stuck between the two worlds. Jaya is a character I was very interested in in The Accursed Venge Seeker. I wanted to know more about her, and this novella provided that opportunity. I would recommend reading The Accursed Venge Seeker before this one, otherwise there will definitely be some confusion about character relations and some of the background of what is happening in this dystopian world. As I started this novella, I found I liked The Accursed Venge Seeker more, but about half way through there was a scene that jumped out at me and will be sticking with me for a long time. A scene of such heartache and betrayal and it is written in an exquisite manner. I had to finish the rest of the novella at that point, because there was no way I was putting it down. I still have questions about the characters and how they came to be in their circumstances in The Accursed Venge Seeker, but I feel that the author is not going to disappoint in continuing to expand this series and I can’t wait to read more!
Great book for younger kids with beautiful artwork and a fun story that encourages imagination. I enjoy reading this to my son.
One of my top reads for 2025! This book had me hooked from the beginning and kicking my feet at multiple parts. I found out about this book through someone I follow and dove right in. The plot mixed with tension, chemistry. I am recommending this to all of my friends that read. Cannot wait to read more from this author!
Bought this some time ago, as a quick read. I’m pleasantly surprised that a self publishing author reaches this quality. Looking out for more
Bought this from India, is was at the release of the book. Amazing storytelling, intricately researched and an enthralling historical fiction. Loved it
Must buy for seekers ,if you want to know about truth ,this book does the trick
Read this to my class 11 years old and they loved the story!
The book captures the spirit of the man. An absolutely stunning treasury of Toller's art work. A true insight into his thinking as an artist.
Without Conviction is an impressive debut by J. T. Brown. It's a classic mystery set in the town of Abbottsville - a town that feels like a character in its own right. The writing is richly detailed, and the plot is quietly tense. It's a story that pulls you in and keeps you guessing to the final pages.
while this is nice and soft and blocks the light nicely the black dyed one runs its colour. I awakened to black dye on my white pillow case and face!
i bought this for Christmas last year and although it’s expensive, its worth it!
Loved it. It was a fun read. The characters are interesting, well developed, and the topics of women in a male dominated career, friendship, loss, family and love were all explored and felt by the reader. The background of a reality show serves to make the experience of lives lived by the main characters more meaningful. The main character is fantastic and really fun touches like the 90’s playlist!
Dark, Dark Heart is the kind of novel that settles under your skin, pulsing with tension long after you’ve turned the final page. Kaitlin Corvus writes with a rare blend of emotional ferocity and cinematic precision, crafting a story that is as psychologically intimate as it is relentlessly gripping. At its core, the novel is a study of people pushed to their breaking points: the wounds they hide, the loyalties they cling to, and the darkness they’re willing to face—or unleash—to survive. Corvus’s characters feel startlingly real, flawed in ways that make them both infuriating and deeply human. Their relationships are messy, tender, and threaded with a history that reveals itself in sharp, devastating fragments. Corvus’s prose is a standout. She writes with a lyrical brutality, weaving sensory detail and emotional nuance into every scene. The atmosphere is thick with dread and longing; even the quiet moments hum with tension. And when the story turns violent — emotionally or physically — it does so with purpose, never shock for shock’s sake. What elevates Dark, Dark Heart is its moral ambiguity. Corvus refuses to offer easy answers or tidy resolutions. Instead, she invites the reader into the murky spaces where love becomes obligation, where survival becomes guilt, and where the line between victim and perpetrator blurs until it’s almost unrecognizable. This is a novel for readers who crave character-driven darkness. Corvus proves herself a writer unafraid to dig deep, to linger in discomfort, and to trust her audience to follow her into the shadows. Dark, Dark Heart is an unforgettable read.
Just got this and it’s life changing! Since it’s Bluetooth no more fighting with the RF page turners that go on the screen. Love that you can go back pages to because my mind wonders sometimes!
""Ashes of Innocence is an engaging read where the reader can feel the details of the Author's memories and thoughts. "" - A. Scruggs ""A work of poetic art with sophistication, humor, and mystery wrapped in a serene style. "" - A. Scruggs ""If Life's reflection of happiness, disappointment, pleasure, and pain were poetically written - Ashes of Innocence captures it. "" - A. Scruggs

The book is amazing seriously it is really out of this world
This book is wonderful! Even if you’re just feeling a little overwhelmed or a little out of balance with your work, life, and other commitments—which, be for real, who isn’t? This book is a lifesaver. It’s structured into three large sections around God, self-care, and fun. Underneath there are 52 devotionals, with a related scripture, a short reflection, and a prayer for each. I consumed this book in literally two sittings and loved it. Now I’d like to go back through and take each of the 52 devotionals one day or one week at a time. I really think if you were to pick up this book, flip to a random page, and follow the wisdom that day or that week, you’d be better for it. Can’t recommend it enough!
