Family and friends nine people in total enjoyed a truly fabulous week at Villa Maravilla. The house was spectacular look at the photos it’s even more impressive in person. The staff was professional, friendly and took care of us the entire trip. When we left the house it was a short drive to multiple beaches Lots of options but we cooked a lot at the house in the huge kitchen and dining area. We will be back

My family and a few friends stayed in one of the villas for 5 days. The communication is clear, the meals are outstanding, the service and management team make you feel as though you are family. They have great suggestions and advice to getting around the town and all the beaches. I am so grateful for their help in the food area. We have a child who is extremely picky and doesn’t eat many things. They accommodated all of our high maintenance needs. The house itself has the most stunning views and the most comfortable beds. We loved it so much we are making plans to come back soon. Love this crew!

We visited this area with our family of 4. The villa is perfection. The view is beautiful. The layout of everything is perfect. Booking this villa and planning our time here was seamless with the concierge service that comes along with it. We loved every person that we dealt with. We wanted to bring Anna home with us. Haha. She does a great job at keeping the villa so clean. We had in house massages one evening and the massages were amazing and I own a spa back home and I am so picky. My son who is 11 said he wanted to take his massage therapist home. Thank you for an amazing first half of our vacation!!!

This was our first time in Costa Rica, spent 7 days in this magnificent villa! We went to celebrate our daughter-in-laws 40th birthday, she could not have picked a more beautiful place ( no exceptions) from the views to the staff! Every morning Joshua would cook us an awesome breakfast at any time we needed with different fresh squeezed juices (yum yum), Kevin our concierge would make sure we had everything we needed, Juan Carlos our driver took us anywhere we wanted to go, at times this was to different locations so our group could do their different adventures, he could not have been more accommodating! Yeslur was the best guide you can have on your adventures, so informative on countries history, the wild life, culture. I loved this place and the people so much that I would love to relocate there!

This place was absolutely STUNNING! We rented this home for a week to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was a once in a lifetime type vacation! This house is obviously breathtaking, but everyone we had interactions with while there was fabulous and took the home over the top. Joshua our chef prepared the most epic breakfasts every morning! He was so accommodating and fun to talk to. Our concierge - Kevin - was always super responsive and helpful with any and all requests we had during our stay. Our driver Juan Carlos was always warm and willing to do whatever it took to get us to wherever we needed to go. And Yesler definitely hooked us up with all of the Costa Rican wildlife and nature information that we could handle. All in all it was like having your own private all-inclusive resort all to ourselves. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! Well done team!!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica. The villa and grounds were clean and very well maintained. The staff at Star Villas were gracious and responsive to all our requests. We will be back!!

We had a truly memorable vacation with our entire family: 8 adults, 2 children, and an infant. The villa was spacious with room for us to gather outside or inside. The bedrooms were perfect and there was a pack ‘n’ play for our grandson! The gorgeous pool was enjoyed by all. Maria kept the villa in order despite the crowd. She even made us her guacamole & pico de gallo, a hit with everyone! Kevin, our concierge through Star Villas, made recommendations for activities, beaches, & restaurants. He was always present when we set off or returned from excursions and quickly solved any hiccoughs that occurred. We found that dining was easiest at the villa where we had a beautiful view of Coco Bay. Rocio served scrumptious brunches as well as a few dinners during our stay. She made my granddaughter’s 4th birthday party special with a cake & piñata! Gabriel, our driver, was absolutely wonderful, looking out for the children all the time. He was always pleased to take us on our various excursions. On one excursion, he acted as our guide. Without his assistance, it wouldn’t have been the exceptional experience it was. Before we said goodbye, he thanked us for visiting his country. Everyone agreed that Casa Camaleon was perfect for our family, 7 days in paradise!

We had the most amazing week at Villa Estrella. The staff was top notch! The food and the drinks were amazing. The staff was so accommodating to us and our children. We were treated like royalty! The setting and view were gorgeous and the pool was so amazing and relaxing. So many memories were made with our families here! We will definitely be back!

Wow! We had the most amazing week with Star Villas. Vera Vista was the perfect spot for our group of 4 adults. The views from the patio and the pool were incredible. Daily sunsets, numerous tropical birds and monkeys were highlights. Guillermo and the concierge team went above and beyond to guide us and recommend sights to see. They even helped us navigate a minor medical emergency. We felt very well cared for and safe. Ana, with housekeeping, was professional and efficient with daily upkeep of the rental. Some favorites of our stay include Cabuyal Beach, El Viejo River tour & rum tour, and Diamanté Wildlife Sanctuary. Chef Mark and team provided amazing dinners and helped us celebrate a special birthday. We would recommend this villa to anyone and everyone!

We had a wonderful two week visit in Playa Hermosa. Maravilla was beautiful and quite comfortable for our family. The Star Villas staff was top notch; responsive, organized and always available to help with anything! Chef Mark and his team were terrific, Raudy our driver was awesome, Armelin our housekeeper greeted us with breakfast each morning and Guillermo was always there for us. We will be back CR! Our family stayed at Villa Hermosa and our experience was nothing short of amazing. We were picked up from the airport by our amazing driver Douglas and taken to our home away from home for the week. As soon as you walk in you visualize the house and pool overlooking the ocean and mountains, which is simply indescribable. The view is amazing and the sunsets were some of the best we have ever seen. At the house we were greeted by Guillermo, who was extremely kind and helpful during our entire stay. The Villa Hermosa was spacious and clean, with plenty of room for our party (6 adults and one child). We all enjoyed having our own bedrooms and bathrooms, with each bedroom connected to an outdoor area overlooking the ocean. One of our highlights of the trip was Ana, the housekeeper who made delicious breakfasts every morning (you just supply the food). It was paradise waking up every morning and having breakfast prepared to eat outside with an ocean view. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for the meals we made ourselves. Our crew chose to spend most of our time in the outdoor area; the outdoor dining spot was amazing, as well as the plentitude of other outdoor spaces to chill and relax. The pool was clean, a great temperature, and absolutely beautiful; at certain angles it looks as if the pool meets the ocean. We walked to a local market a couple of times for groceries and could have walked to the beach, but just decided to spend our time at the pool instead. Our time at Villa Hermosa was nothing short of amazing and we would most definitely recommend this house and Star Villas to anyone! Thank you again to Guillermo, Adriana, Ana, and Douglas!

Me and six others stayed at villa #32. The views are amazing and the home had all the amenities we needed. You can chill all day at the Villa pool or venture to the beach which is a 15 minute walk. The team at star villa were very helpful, quick to respond and help coordinate activities and meals. We will be back!

Our trip to Costa Rica and accommodations at the Playa Hermosa were perfect - it felt like we were in paradise. The home had everything we needed for our large party - spacious kitchen, private bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, large gathering spaces and a wonderful outdoor patio with dining area. Breathtaking sunrise and sunset views while lounging in the large Infiniti pool. All within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff at Star Villas were great - they helped us to plan excursions, provide shuttles around the area and recommend a chef to cook us local cuisine. Highly recommend this property for your next tropical vacation.

Villa Hermosa was everything you want in a vacation! Gorgeous, spacious home-beautiful, gourmet kitchen, huge bedrooms en suite bathrooms, private balconies and huge balcony overlooking the pool. Beds and bedding so comfy! Adjustable air conditioning in bedrooms for a perfect night sleep! Spent most of our time on the outdoor patio with multiple seating areas, table, outdoor large tv-all around the beyond beautiful infinity pool with the ocean as a backdrop. Each night watched the sunset-a little piece of heaven! Spent hours floating and swimming in the pool. Great place to exercise with hilly walks and other beautiful homes to see. Beach was a ten minute walk, massages both on the beach and the through the incredible concierge service had them by our pool! Ate out frequently, an abundance of wonderful restaurants, friendly service and great food-very reasonably priced. Also cooked in with all the amenities in the gourmet kitchen. Fun activities, fishing, hiking, river tours all easily arranged with the concierge service. A quick phone call to make it all happen. Easy commute from the airport-30 minute drive. Flying from South Dakota to CR very easy-you arrive early 1pm and leave late 3pm so actually get to enjoy each of those days and not just travel. Weather was the same every day-sunny, clear sky, wonderful little breeze and 90-94. Just what us northerners need in January! I can’t say enough great things about our stay at Villa Hermosa-we will be back! Thank you!

Hard to believe it but this place is nicer than the pictures. Just A short commute from the airport. Then a short walk to whatever slice of paradise you want that day. Beach, nature hikes and activities await. This place is top shelf. I can’t wait to go back!

To say Playa Hermosa is amazing is an understatement! The accommodations were incredible with comfortable and private rooms, awe inspiring sunrise and sunset views from the balcony and infinity pool, and a world class kitchen indoor and outdoor for delicious local cuisine. The amenities are boundless. Everything you need is within walking distance, and the residents are all very polite, quick witted, humorous, and the most generous people I have ever met. There is entertainment galore for family and adults, but my favorite was chilling out on the balcony and in the pool with friends watching the beautiful bay. This beautiful location is a modern day paradise I can’t tell you how much you will enjoy your stay.

Staying at the Playa Hermosa was an outstanding vacation experience. The home was just lovely and absolutely perfect for our party. You can’t beat the view of the ocean. Star Villas was great to work with setting up adventures whether it was a catamaran sunset cruise or a vigorous hike. It was simply a perfect vacation. Can’t wait to go back. PURA VIDA!!!

We had an incredible vacation in CR at Villa Hermosa. The house is wonderful, with great bedrooms and bathrooms. The infinity pool overlooks the bay and is amazing. It is a short walk to the beach, nice restaurants and the grocery store. The food, drinks and people are fantastic. I am not sure you could have a better vacation. I would stay at least a week, it is so fun it goes very fast.

Stayed at Villa Hermosa. It was a great experience. We had everything we needed plus more. Spacious, great pool, super outdoor seating and outdoor dining. View of the ocean and sunsets are terrific. Just a quick walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. Just the right distance from the beach to avoid the traffic and noise associated with the beach. So peaceful. Concierge service took great care of us from arranging pickup from the airport, to assisting us with reserving day excursions and making restaurant reservations. Lastly we had a member of our group get sick and the concierge arranged for a physician to come to the house. Couldn’t ask for more. Felt very safe and the locals were very friendly. Go, go and enjoy.
