Return requests take a week or longer

I needed a new rice cooker, and many people around me recommended this brand. I also did some research myself, and I genuinely thought it was a great brand with a good reputation. Unfortunately, my first experience wasn’t very good. The rice cooker I received had a problem. I contacted customer service, and they were helpful and agreed to replace it, which I appreciated. However, the response from customer service was not very quick, and the replacement process took quite a long time. I was actually in a hurry to use the rice cooker, so receiving a defective product made me quite anxious. I understand that customer service may need time to process a replacement, but when you purchase a new product and receive one that doesn’t work properly, waiting for a solution can be very frustrating. The return was especially difficult for me because I don’t have a car. I had to take the defective rice cooker to a designated shipping location myself, which was a lot of effort considering how large and heavy the package was. I’ve now received the replacement, and so far, it works perfectly. I really like the design, and the overall build quality feels very good. However, I have to be honest that the first experience has made me lose some confidence in the product. I now find myself worrying that it might break again, even though everything is working fine at the moment. Overall, I still like the brand and the design, but my first purchase experience definitely wasn’t what I expected.

Return process is so so slow. I returnes my order almost 1 month ago. Still, processing.

I received my CRP-P1009S rice cooker with visible scratches inside the inner pot and marks/chipping on the heating plate area immediately after unboxing. Because of the condition, I was concerned that the unit may have been previously used or damaged before shipment. I submitted a claim on May 8, 2026 with photos attached, but the claim has remained in “Pending” status without any update so far. I understand investigations may take time, but I am disappointed by the lack of communication regarding a brand-new product issue. I hope the support team can review and resolve this matter soon.

Only English documentation (and Korean. . . but no French). Many many words (a lot. . . too many) to explain how to use, but very difficult to understand at the end and figure out how exactly does this thing works. I am sure this can be done a lot more user friendly. Quality of the cooked rice is less than expected. Maybe other tries will be better. . I am quite disappointed with this purchase and will not recommend to my friends

Fast and simple

The product itself is great. Happy with that as always. The delivery wasn't particularaly fast or slow. It took about a week. I'm fine with that. However, what I don't like is why they charge me so called "free" return fee which is clearly not free at the first place. Shouldn't they charge me when I actually "return" it?

Had a delivery issue and sent email to Support@cuckooamerica.com about this issue, but I have not received any response for over a week
