This was my favourite brand and go to shop. I must have spent $2-3K over the last few years, but now I am done. The stores no longer stock sizes above a 20, so much for providing great fashion for curvy women. You are not size inclusive or for all women.

Went to City Chic at Carousel today. Found Simone to be so helpful, friendly and bubbly. Simone made up for the awful, disgusting lack of service and interactions with Tanya. She completely ignored us while we were looking for a change room, then just motioned with her hand and said “there”. She proceeded to see to the customers either side of us, while ignoring and pushing through us. There was a customer who used a wheelchair, and stated to Tanya she needed to consider her disability when choosing clothes. Tanya barked back “I’m the same size, I’m an XS, I’m fine when I sit down”, the most completely ableist, ignorant and dehumanising remark that could’ve been made. As we were waiting for a while for a dress, my daughter remarked on how long we had been waiting, to which Tanya, who hadn’t been in on the conversation, shot back “well we are busy, you’ll just have to wait your turn”. This would’ve been okay if we had been addressed by her in the first place. While I love the clothes at City Chic, and would give Simone 10/10, Tanya has ruined our experience, and we will not return to this store.
My wife and i went in for individual bra fittings and both walked out very happy. The ladies didn't miss a beat when i said i wanted to try some on too, even helped adjust while i was wearing. We walked out with a nice selection and a discount. Would definately recommend if you are CD/TS and not sure about asking.
Without a doubt my number one go to when shopping for clothing. Thank you for providing great styles for curvy women. I recently experienced a mishap with a delivery and was very impressed with how quickly, efficiently and politely it was all managed online. A huge thank you to Kayla whose outstanding communication kept me up to date with what was happening to ensure I received my order.
Just purchased the size 12 Abbie suit - it feels beautiful on, fully lined, and the legs of the trousers flow beautifully and it is flattering. I have to get the pants altered though as I'm short on legs - 5'2 - and need them taken up 4 inches lol. Otherwise, one of my favourite buys.
I have been a customer of Citychic for a number of years, yesterday I received excellent service from the Manager of the Brownsplain store in Queensland. So helpful that l purchased more than 1 iteam, l love the dresses l now have, thank you for the advice and expertise.
Within hours of placing my online order I noticed when putting in my address it auto corrected the house number! I immediately contacted City Chic to let them know about my mistake & asked to have the numbers changed just to be told that they can not change delivery information after the order is placed. I than asked for the order to be canceled & refunded my order amount $100+ to than be informed it can take upto 24 - 48hrs to process that cancellation. Meanwhile if my order is packed & shipped within that timeframe than ‘oh well’ someone else gets a couple of new outfits on me & my money is as good as gone!
Hi Team City Chic , There are a few complaints that I would like to report :- 1. The quality of your clothes have detoriated , after a few wash itself , the dress look old and worn out . Your prices should do justice to the quality of clothes . 2. As a plus size petite Asian all the necks in dresses are super deep and uncomfortable . You should consider diversity of your customers . 3. Is $50 off on your next purchase a genuine offer ? I don't think it ever works .
Just a rant . . If you don’t want to read just keep scrolling … I will never step into a City Chic shop again . . So yesterday my grandson and I had to stop at my local shopping centre to pick up one item quickly, I was on a tight schedule . . I happen to walk past City Chic sale, couldn’t help my self, I thought I will just have a Quick Look. Found 2 items I really like, but due to my grandson being impatient and my tight schedule I couldn’t try them on. I bought it knowing I couldn’t return it and get my money back, but I actually thought I could exchange to the same value or more . . due to a full day of events, I was unable to try it on till the evening, unfortunately the items did not fit right. So today first thing I went straight to City Chic and asked if I could just exchange, happy to pay more if the item I choose are higher. I explained that I normally try before I buy, but due to the circumstances with my impatient grandson and time was not on my side🤦🏽:female_sign: I couldn’t. The shop assistant stated due to items being on sale, they don’t refund or exchange. (The whole shop was ONLY sale items). Fair enough if that’s what you want to do, the sales assistant remembered me from yesterday and apologised after getting off the phone from her manager, that stated cannot do the exchange as its a blanket rule for all their stores. Ok good luck @City Chic stores . . I maybe just ONE of heaps of your customer but I will not set foot into your store or buy anything on line from your store! No wonder shops like yours are closing their doors, dont budge a tiny bit to help your customer out. Just had to get it out there, totally understand if it was a few days before taking it back, but the next day with all tags on and bag intact . . End of rant 😂😂
I seen a dress in a friend's photo that I absolutely loved, the person wearing it told me it was from City Chic. To find if there are any instore near me, I used the live chat service on the CC website. Jess was so very helpful and advised me where they had the dress I wanted and in what sizes. I called the Elizabeth SA store, and the customer service was great. I went to the store and could not be happier with the customer service I received. The dress I loved was a little bit too big, so I was shown another similar dress in the size 12 that was just as lovely as the one I was hoping would fit in the 14. Really great customer service from the chat service to my instore visit. Highly recommend City Chic.
This would rate as the worst shopping experience with this company & I shop online with other stores regularly and never had an issue till now, I purchased a garment online which did not fit, I returned the garment in store & was given a gift card instead of a refund which is what I should have received the garment was not a final sale, as I am in between their sizing nothing fits, I would have to spend more money in order to have the garments altered which is completely unfair instead of returning my money, my funds are being held hostage were I am forced to buy clothing that does not fit me nor do I like the quality of style. We are not talking about a small amount we are talking about $171. 95. Absolutely poor unprofessional service by your head office when I called to explain they did not care & kept throwing the that’s our policy in my face.
The young lady at your Mt Druitt store was so helpful. I had my granddaughter with me so she could help me pick a dress for her Wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for the assistant, she went above and beyond her duties, I would highly recommend her.
The Armadale pop up store is a wonderful place for a bargain. The team are welcoming and helpful.
City chic - maybe you should look to best & less for your policies. At best &less I can buy a bra for $12 and have 100 day guarantee on quality or even if I change my mind. Yet a manufacturers defect (wire pushing through the bra) for a bra that cost me $90 is not covered for more 90 days. Wow! I have purchased over $300 recently and this is the oldest ones. Let’s just say I won’t be back.
I would like to leave a review for amazing customer service i received on Friday. This EXCELLENT experience was from Daniella at city chic uni hill bundoora Melbourne. Wow Daniella you are one of a kind! You don't get service like that anymore. I walked in extremely overwhelmed and anxious. I had to get a dress for a christening on Sunday. Daniella went above and beyond for me, gave me a heap of dresses to try and was just so kind and beautiful. I ended up buying 3 instead 1 of dress and 2 pairs of shoes. You made my day, my week, my month and my year. I've told everyone about the service I received and noone could believe it. We all know you don't get service like that from anywhere anymore. Thank you Daniella (sorry if I spelt your name wrong).
After an order drama with ASOS. I ordered a dress on Tuesday at midday, paying extra for express shipping and it’s Thursday afternoon and my dress has not left the warehouse. Please in future give an accurate time estimate on express shipping otherwise it isn’t worth either the extra money or the bother. I will still have to hit the shops tomorrow and spend money AGAIN for Saturday evening (something I was hoping to avoid).
