Our white horizontal queen with cabinet doors above fits and looks exactly like what I was expecting based on the photos from the website! The system works safely, the springs keep the bed from falling, yet I a 5'3 woman, can easily open the bed. The material list and directions were easy to follow. Note: preparation and patience are KEY. Reading and watching the provided instructions and video prior to the arrival our KEY to patient assembly. The recommendations are accurate. You will need to hire or invite help. It will take two strong and capable people. The recommended time for assembly is accurate (7-8 hours). It took us 3 days (2 -3 hrs/day) but taking our time was worth it. We are extremely satisfied because we can instantly transform our workout room into a guest room with a product that is sturdy and sleek!

We were so pleased to find a simple Murphy bed as a sneaky way to sleep more guests once our extra bedroom became a nursery. If you are handy and can muster up some patience and common sense, you too can build this!! I promise. The instructions will not come customized to your exact order but using the generic instruction manual they provide and very handy videos, you’ll be able to do this in a day with two people. We ordered our queen sized unit in the medium sycamore and are very happy with the look. Highly recommend!

It looks great in our room and the color (we ordered black) matches the rest of the area we put it. I wouldn't say it was hard, but I'm not going to say it was easy. It was time-consuming so plan your day accordingly! If I ever need a Murphy Bed again, I will definitely order it from BredaBeds!

Incredible workmanship and attention to detail. The Bed arrived very well packed. All pieces were clearly labeled and easy to identify. The instruction manual was very intuitive and provided tailored steps for the specific unit configuration purchased. 1 person job took about 1 day to assemble. The quality and value of Breda Beds is unmatched. I Highly recommend this company.

Finished assembling today. Great instructions and links to installation utube videos. Only complaint is the provided screws to secure the frame to the doors. Very difficult, would have been so much easier if they provided hex screws or star screws. A very small compliant. Overall great product and result.

Great looking bed. The instructions were a little off. It might be a good idea to pay for installation. It’s not an easy project, but my husband is a genius, so he figured it out.

Although assembly was a long process (two and a half days with breaks) we couldn't be more pleased with the Metropolitan Murphy bed. My husband and I are 70 and 68 - the only time we needed another hand was lifting the unit to the wall as I am only 4'11'. The instructions are excellent - we read thoroughly before assemble as well as during and watched the videos. We did make one modification - we added a board at the head of the bed to keep the mattress from slipping down into the cabinet when closing the bed platform. Fortunately the wood crate it was delivered in had one panel of melamine board so we cut that to size and bolted to the head of the bed frame.

Absolutely love my murphy bed. We installed this in a room that isn't used frequently but we wanted the option to have guests there if needed. We went with the white version and the room looks so much bigger than it did without. I love that you can build it the way you want with/without doors, etc. I had a few shelves that were damaged in transit but a quick email to customer service email and they were shipped out the next day. I've referred this company to many friends/coworkers and can't stop talking about how great the quality of this is for the price.

love the result! This is perfect for our office and "overflow" guests. We combined the metropolitan with Penthouse doors and are thrilled. We were so impressed with the instructions and care put into writing the manual. Very explicit and good graphics. That plus the videos were extremely helpful. (although video background music became irritating after watching several segments several times) Our only problem was that we needed someone with more muscles to pull the springs when assembling the king size bed face. Its a very heavy duty system. But the rest my husband and i did ourselves.

Installation instructions are very detailed and well written. Installation took about 6 hours and I took my time reading reading the instructions several times on each step. Got stuck on one step and emailed Breda customer service at 10:40PM on a Saturday night, and got a response from a technician in 15 minutes! Also, I highly recommend using an impact driver for securing the bed to the wall. Luckily I own one, but for others without one I would highly recommend borrowing or purchasing one.

I paid for their installer to do the work and I'm very happy that I did because there was a lot of drilling and screws to fasten it all together. Its very easy to put up and down and its hard to believe that there's a mattress inside when its all put away. I also want to say that they have very good customer service. The black finish of the front board had marring throughout which did not wipe or buff out. I called customer service and they sent out a replacement to the installer which he replaced for me and it was all included. The particular part requires a lot of drilling and screws to install the frame to the board which is why I'm happy that I made the decision to pay extra for the installer to do it.

Everything went well. Assembly went well, it's in and has already been used. I would recommend this bed to any one. Looks better than I thought. I like the design. I can now use the room for more projects.

Although I hate particle board this is a well made bed overall. For the price it has a lot of value. My daughter and I put it together and it wasn't too difficult. I would buy again if I needed another one.

Overall, I am very pleased with the bed. It looks great. In addition to the great look, I have to say the instructions were the best I have ever seen. Putting the bed together is a little complicated, but the instructions are clear. they even give you extra hints to make it smoother.
