I purchase a queen size horizontal bed from the company. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it was late arriving, with no updated information provided. I had to make inquiries as to where my order was. It also came with 2 right side hinges, not a left and a right. When I contacted the company about the problem they were good in shipping out the correct part. Buy, it still cause me delays. The written instructions were well put together, and very much needed to perform the assembly. I will join the parade of reviews which highlight this assembly is a two person, or more kind of job. I also recommend having a lot of patience. Watching the assembly videos on YouTube was also quite helpful. This project is not for the beginning DIY kind of guy/girl... or the faint of heart. A person can get hurt putting this bed together. That said, the bed turned out as expected and functions like I wanted. It's a nice addition to our spare room.

Ordering and paying for the product was easy. Getting it not so much. After ordering I waited 2 months before delivery notification was sent out. The instructions that came with the product are ok. Some basic details are left out and only found these after going through a list of youtube videos. The actual product looks and feels exactly like an Ikea product from the press board construction to the use of cams in assembly. I ordered a queen with "integrated" sofa. The sofa is not integrated but simply a backless couch with cushions. For the price I really expected a quality piece but the product did live up to my expectations. The mattress sits directly on the 3/4" steel braces in place to hold the face together. I purchased 3/4" stiff foam insulation to fill the gaps between the steel braces otherwise these can be felt through the mattress. I had previously purchased a murphy from a different company and spent a lot less and received a very nice piece that included a wood slat mattress base making it very comfortable. I would look elsewhere if purchasing a murphy in the future.

Very pleased with our new bed. I assembled it myself, took about 8 hours, and I needed my wife's help for just a few minutes to assemble some of the horizontal pieces. Could have been done quicker with 2 people, but I like projects. It's similar to, but slightly more involved, to build than Ikea furniture. Instructions were detailed and I found it helpful to read through them, in detail, before starting the assembly to understand the process and not get too far ahead of myself. Putting the springs in were a bit of a pain, but watching the youtube videos really helped. I had a few questions and one bad part (washers for the support legs were stuck together). BredaBeds was very responsive and sent the replacement piece very quickly. My wife and I are very pleased and satisfied with the look and extra room our office/gym/guest bedroom has gained. I'm kicking around the idea of putting one in the Master Bedroom. We'll see!

Overall, our experience from ordering to assembly was great. The logistics company who delivered our product was easy to work with, on time, and respectful with the pieces. When it came to assembly, the directions included were good with detailed pictures and videos. Some feedback regarding assembly includes: 1) it would have been nice if there were pre drilled holes for the screws in the various pieces. 2) There was a part where we were asked to use a marker or painters tape, to avoid screw placement on the panel door. We followed the directions, but further explanation of the reason for this would have been helpful. 3) I think mentioning to owners to think about placement on the wall relative to power outlet access post frame placement would be good. We ended up running a power cord out from behind the bed in advance of placement to allow for accessibility. The full assembly took just over 10 hours for us. It looks great and we are excited to start using it in the near future! Thanks again.

This is exactly what we wanted and we're very pleased. Well made, sturdy, time consuming to assemble but rather easy. Only negative is that we paid extra for glossy paint but not all surfaces were painted i.e., the exposed shelves and inner side panels.

My only complaint was in regard to the shipping company. They said delivery would be between 12pm to 4pm. then showed up after 9:30 am (I had scheduled work for 1/2 a day & was home at 11) The office people mentioned the dispatcher (who talked to me) & the person in charge of loading their trucks never synchronize their info. . The person who did deliver our bed had it passed on to him & he got it here before 4:30pm & was very competent & polite. The bed was a bit of a challenge for a couple aged 70 & 68 yrs old, LOL !!! But we did it; my husband is mechanically inclined & I'm physically strong (good thing considering the weight in putting the door/ bed in the slot/hinge. We like it & your design & getting your product to us on time was great. Thank you!!

Pleased with the bed. The packaging and pallet were well done and material arrived without any damage. Shrink wrap and extra cardboard between components, along with separate boxes and individual packaging for bolts and accessories for specific assemblies was appreciated. Good instructions and video made assembly straight forward. Experienced a little difficulty attaching the assembled bed to the frame. The location of several bolts on each spring assembly would not allow use of a socket to tighten and limited access for a open end wrench. Metal parts were fabricated well with a powder coat finish. Good quality, well made and easy to operate. Would reccomend to others and buy again!!!!

Assembly and install instructions are easy to follow . . . take your time to ensure all surfaces are perfectly level (horizontal and vertical) before attaching to the wall studs and everything turns out great. Taking the time to shim for perfect leveling is the key! We ordered a Penthouse Queen with drawers and cabinets on both sides and overhead lights. It looks fabulous and all moving parts work smoothly!!

It's beautiful, solid, and made in America!! Sure, we could have found one with less options, one we were not able to customize and that would arrive sooner but this was worth the extra money and the wait. My husband is in construction so some of the reviews about assembly didn't phase me. I must admit though, it took some time and extra help to assemble, some things are bulky and heavy. The results are so worth the effort. We are very happy with this purchase.

assembly a bit tricky but it got done. Took longer than expected but we did not urgency so no problem. The Breda Bed is as described and looks great. Thanks for a good job.

Really appreciated the level of details laid out in the instructions. I would recommend watching Breda’s install videos as that was incredibly helpful. I built most of it by myself, but there are several steps where an extra person is really helpful. Packaging, on-time shipping and quality of materials are all top notch. Allow yourself at least four hours for the build (Breda mentions this in their instructions). I would highly recommend Breda Beds for anyone considering a Murphy Bed.

Love this bed! This is my 3rd house I have installed one. Price was reasonable and they even provided me the name of a local installer!

Beds are great. You should definitely get a professional installer; Breda Beds recommended a good one to us.

We love our new guest bed. Looks great. Functionality is good. Everything was delivered exactly as advertised. The time it takes to put the bed together is way underestimated, however.

The installation procedure is well documented but it’s recommended to use a professional. The installation went very well, now we have to use it, to know how well it works. The belt provided to hold the actual bed back is weak and needs to be of better quality. It did slip. Bredabeds should be looking at Velcro or other methods to hold the bed in in place
