My experience renting a BlueCosmo satellite phone was excellent. I rented this phone for my use as a kayak expedition leader, leading a group of people in a remote part of the Florida Everglades where there is no cell phone service. The satellite phone arrived earlier than expected in a very neat package. The instructions were all very clear and easy to understand for everything from basic operation to personalized programming like phone number entry. The phone worked great in the field as I did have to use it several times with my land-based support team. Service, call clarity and function were all good. At the end of the expedition, the return process was very simple. I was able to send my phone back via a FedEx drop off site less than 24 hours after trip completion, and could have done so even earlier, had a needed to. Thank you, BlueCosmo. Good, but if I have old cards that were never used you should definitely have a reimbursement plan or some kind of consolidation contingency available.

I am very pleased however I dislike it when unused minutes do not rollover into the future following the card’s expiration date. How can we prevent this from happening again in the future? (I had a 2-year card with over 1,100 minutes remaining and then, at the end of the period, (I lost all those minutes and had to buy a new card. ) Thanks and please let me know via my email at pjvr1647@gmail. com
