Best brand I’ve come across in a few years.

The DEX 30 is one of the best bags I’ve ever purchased in terms of actual functionality and regular use. I have the forge 30 as well but can’t help but use the DEX for with almost all of my travel. The modular aspect makes it a perfect travel bag for almost every occasion; from a weekend away or an overnight motorcycle trip. Hands down the best travel bag I’ve ever used

Use these straps to hold things on my packs while riding motorcycles and I take plenty of comfort in knowing the product is quality made. It’s the peace of mind needed when on the road enjoying the moment and not having to check if my stuff fell off constantly

Support team is exceptional. No BS, straight to the point answer even if you don't like it. I wish Black Ember would provide certificate of origin for non US orders. Sometimes customer get discounts on tax from that.

A good water bottle add on. Problem is that it sit on the handle for that side and is a little small for my liking, some bigger bottle won't fit. I've tried a small travel tripod and that don't fit either. Wish it could be added on more of Black Ember product like the Grip sling series or the Kompak.

I have carried this as my sidekick through a week vacationing and it was the perfect size. All of the necessary accessories and my phone fit in and it stays nicely out of the way.

Great Backpack! Recommendation: What about an extra strapping (horizontally on the side) to secure a Bottle/Tripod etc. ? The only thing I am missing here.

I love them all the cubes are very nicely made I use them when ever I can they keep things in one place in my pack The small boarding kit is perfect I now use it every day Cary keeps all in one place instead in my pockets My grip sling 12 is perfect Cary doesn’t feel to big holds just what I need the quality is outstanding I have 8 packs all together plus the cubes love them all

Could you make either or both of these wallets to be compatible with air tags? I would buy them both if you could.

I've been a Black Ember fan for a long time: the build quality, the aesthetics, the comfort, and the customer service have always been first-rate in my experience. I had two Citadel R3 25L's, one in bright orange and one in black. I loved them, but still, I wanted water bottle pockets. Lo and behold, here comes the H2!!! The half-zip structure is great for EDC. How many of us open a full clamshell at the office or cafe anyway? Everything else about the pack is great as well. The organization is just write: it's there, but it's not overwhelming. At first, I was afraid the EmberTex fabric wouldn't match the Cordura RN66 Velocity they used on their last generation of packs, which felt perfect. But I was so wrong. EmberTex is a little more matte, but when you get close, it looks like nothing else out there. Also, when the pack is not full, it drapes beautifully, unlike so many other fabrics, including laminates such as X-Pac, Ultra, etc. I'd heard the fabric collects lint and hair easily, but as a guy with three dogs, I've found that not to be the case. Three final things: 1) though it's listed at 25L, believe me when I say the main compartment holds substantially more than the Citadel R3 25L's; 2) the characteristic Black Ember water resistance is there as well as the structured, protective nature of the pack (great laptop compartment!); and 3) get the compression straps! They complete the pack's look and are great for hanging a wet umbrella under your pack if need be. Or a yoga mat. Or a large bottle of bourbon. Super happy with this pack. It's definitely a keeper--and yes, even better than the Citadel R3 IMHO. Get it! PS--If I had to be careful about security, I would've kept the original Black Ember zipper pulls, but given that I don't, I found some shorter Hypalon versions. What I really wanted were the Black Ember zipper pulls they use on the inside pouch, but I was too afraid to email them and see if I could get a set. (If you're listening, BE, I'd love those zip...

Excellent experience

I have had my Forge 30 for about three weeks now and I am thoroughly enjoying it. For years I carried a briefcase and a separate backpack and I was looking for a bag that could function as both - the Forge 30 definitely fits the bill. It is solidly constructed, holds all of my gear, and is comfortable in backpack mode. Highly recommended.
