I'm partway through week two, and so far it is going well. The food is better tasting than a different program I used previously and the snacks are helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the bar codes on the packages read right into Chronometer, which is my preferred diet tracker. My only issue is that there are a lot of ice crystals in the packages which can lead to watery food. But I'm happy with the way the food is packaged and shipped, it was well frozen when it arrived and the delivery date is convenient. It ships in cardboard boxes that can be broken down easily for the paper recycling bin.

Shipping was quick for me. There was always a lot of dry ice left. It was always still wrapped nice in a bag. ( My other weight loss membership plan always took a long time, and the dry ice was scattered all over the meals) I was please with how Bistro MD was packages and shipped. Also, the cancelation could not have been easier. It's great to try something new, when you know it's not going to be a hassle when you try to stop. As a consumer, I really appreciated this, and it left a lingering positive feeling.

I enjoy the Bistro MD experience. I wanted to find something to go with working out, bike riding and general good health. In combination with all of the above and Bistro MD I have gone from 235 lbs to 197lbs. It hasn’t been easy or quick. But I’ve listened to my head and with the help of Bistro MD I have done it…and I’m not finished!!!

After three weeks, I’ve lost 8 pounds without feeling deprived or hungry. The meals are convenient, varied, and come with a meal plan that guides what to eat for meals and snacks each day, which makes planning simple and stress-free. I also appreciate that most of the packaging is recyclable, which aligns with my values. The meals arrive on schedule, shipped directly to my door in a well-organized box, making the whole process seamless. The directions suggest “thaw under refrigeration the night before,” but they can also be microwaved straight from frozen in just 4 minutes—super quick and easy. Since I prefer to avoid microwaving in plastic containers, I use a Crock Pot "Lunch Crock Food Warmer" as often as I can. I put the meal into the lunch crockpot in the morning, plug it in by my classroom desk, and by lunchtime, it’s hot and stays warm longer than when microwaved. This allows me to enjoy my lunch without the rush or waiting in line for the community microwave, which is especially helpful during my busy workdays. The flexibility is great—no long-term commitments, and I can customize my meals or delivery schedule as needed. I did choose to skip spicy options, but there are plenty of delicious, non-spicy choices for everyone. Living alone and teaching full-time, I find this program reduces stress and provides a consistent, healthy eating plan. Some meals aren’t to my taste, but I simply remove them from my account—easy and straightforward. Overall, my first month with BistroMD has been incredibly positive.
