They dry supper fast, very comfortable and stylish. I love the blue color.

The straw hat is very light, durable, and covers a great portion of the face and neck.
The Tote bag is way bigger and more tougher and durable than I expected! The straw hat fits perfectly without my head sinking too far in.
This is my fourth pair of these corduroy shorts. I have another in this color and a couple of toasts that are almost seven years old. They have worn in beautifully and are still at full corduroy fuzziness( not threadbare at all!) the tailoring is a little bit different, I hope they loosen up just a tad as I break them in. But I know that any Birdwells I buy are forever clothes. I’ve been surfing and lifeguarding in Birdwells since the 1990s. Thanks for the same thing over the years ♥️
4th Purchase!!! Wish I had found Birdwell sooner! Always treasured great products made here in the USA!!! Keep it spinning!! Thank You! Craig Schepp
Growing up I had Birdwells. Thanks to Mom. . loved them. Always fit correctly. Random pic of me and my brother both in birdwells prompted an online search. Still in business! Ordered a pair. Shipping was fast. They fit just like I remembered. Perfect. Tag says MADE IN USA. . I LOVE THEM. just like an old lost friend. . thank you
Everything came perfect and quick Thanks !!!!
When we were kids and grew up in the ’70’s in Ventura, and people asked us if our family owned Birdwell Beach Britches, we always said OH SURE! And loved the clothes although only a few of us actually surfed. My Birdwell siblings and I are scattered these days but still connect with the brand and all the collab variations over the years.
Great new look and color combo. Miss the old Velcro fly though.
Material is awesome, and the board shorts are made exceedingly well.
As always the best
I’ve been wearing bird Wells for a little over 40 years so I’m still fit for my first lifeguarding gig. Best beach wherever. !
Been wearing Birdwell's since '77 as lifeguard and my 3rd pair (expanding waist). Solidly built, won't wear anything else. Bought 2 new t-shirts, quality is tops but shipping took forever. Like forever :(
They're way too long. I'm having my seamstress hem them to the old school length. . . IMO, you ruined a classic. But otherwise, great quality! I would add in a faded black or gun mental grey to the colors.
I like the material and look of these shorts, but they have gone to a longer cut and looser waist. I like the original cut better.
Great new design and performance. I was able to test them out during some free diving in Taormina, Italy and can't wait to get out in the surf with them.
I grew up in Charleston, SC, and was very active in water sports. When I was 14 years old, I did everything I could to save up enough money to buy a pair of Birdwells (1982). I am now 57 years old and have a 14-year-old son who loves to kneeboard/boogie board. I was excited to see that Birdwells were still being made! I purchased us both a couple of pairs for our upcoming vacation to Wilderness at the Smokies (Sevierville, TN) over the 4th of July weekend. He loves them, and we are both excited!
I like the styling of Birdwell boardshorts and I think they are very well made. Pricey maybe but the quality is worth it. My only issue was sizing. I wear size 34 and the size 34 SurfNyl and SurfStretch were way too loose in the waist. I found that sizing down to a size 30 in SurfStretch and to a size 32 in SurfNyl was perfect for me. When I measured the waist on the size 32 SurfNyl it came out to 34 inches. When I measured the waist of on the size 30 SurfStretch it came out to 33 inches but easily stretched to a snug and comfortable 34 inches. Kudos to Birdwell for a relatively painless return/exchange process.
Great board shorts, quality build and fits true to size. Took a couple weeks to get them but well worth it. Highly recommend.
