Being from Oregon, I have been a Benchmade fan for many years. Living in Nevada now I have a handful of knives for myself, and I am in a position to get Christmas presents and occasional award type presents for my employees. The custom knives I have just received are representative of our company in their custom design, as well as quality!

In a recent trip I made the mistake of taking my Contego 801 and doing the "right" thing by placing it in my suitcase which went to checked bags. Sure enough, the TSA goons stole it and I have no way of proving it. So I decided to get a new EDC knife and I chose the custom made Osborne 940-1. I wanted a much lighter knife and so I went with carbon fiber handles. I also chose an S90V blade. To say that I loved what I got is an understatement. This knife is super light (68gr), has the awesome AXIS lock and the amazing reverse tanto blade in S90V. As for the very hard to sharpen S90V - Benchmade will take care of that forever, so no worries here. Frankly, I cannot think of a better EDC knife. Yeah, it is pricey. But I would say it is well worth it.

I’ve had a few benchmade knives over the years, and I only have to replace them because I lose them. Never due to failure. This one is a gift for someone, I still have the one I got about six years ago (haven’t lost it yet, haha). Great knives, highly recommend.

While I was hopeful, after breaking the tip off a knife no longer made, to pay for a new blade or get a decent re-grind, I was told it just need less to be retired. They did send a credit I was able to use toward a new knife. Was very pleased with that as I was not expecting anything. Excellent service and very helpful and responsive to emails and calls. I will continue to invest in Benchmade knives for their quality of products and the service that backs them.
