Bought to work in my woodwork shop, does a good job but I wish it could be made smaller. I'm probably not the only female woodworker who needs to wear a beanie under the cap? Perhaps the bearded person version could be optional not head fit? I have gaps down both sides. I'll try in store before purchasing one similar again.
Having a beard and wear glasses I wasn't sure if it would be right for me. I spoke to a woodturning friend who had one who also has a beard and wore glasses. He told me it is a very snug fit and comfortable. I bought it and it's great.
Using for woodturing and it works really well and I can wear glasses which is a bonus
Excellent, works well, but l think it is well over priced for what you get, no charging dock, no plug, no replacement dust pads or canisters. The spare battery if you want one is well over priced. You can buy a high end drill with two lithium ion batteries charger & plug for a lot less. Still a good ltem but well over priced.
Excellent piece of kit.
Does exactly as described. Lightweight, easy to use. Highly recommended
Takes a bit of getting use but after a while hardly know it’s on. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Far superior to standard masks and goggles - very comfortable , not noisy and battery lasts well
An excellent respirator/face visor. Well packaged with a sturdy, sealed plastic box in which to store it, when not in use. The amount of dust in the filters shows how much you have NOT breathed in. The respirator is quite expensive and the poor quality of the face seal supplied, lets it down. The face seal separarated after only a few days of use and Axminster promptly supplied a replacement seal FOC, under the warranty.
Had to get new narrow glasses but otherwise quite good. Very little adjustment.
It does the job
Good product
Really good durable product offering excellent protection. Comfortable with my own spectacles and fits very well. Noise from fan is not too bad and as advertised no misting.
I bought one of these for woodturning. It fits well, and the air blown keeps your face nice and cool. The battery life is good, and charging easy. The reason I bought this was for woodturning, as there's a photo of a woodturner in the ad selling these. Using it when cutting wood using gouges, the protection is OK, however, when you start sanding you can smell the dust through the mask being drawn in with the air. This is with brand new filters, and pre filters. I have since stopped using this and gone back to my original setup of a JSP force 8 and a full face helmet/visor. This gives much more protection, albeit without the cooling air. I'm a bit disappointed to say the least,as there's plenty of good reviews. I also think the build quality is fairly flimsy. The foam chin rest started de-laminating after a few uses, but Axminster sent a new one out straight away. In all, I'm afraid I can't really recommend this unit for sanding, as the filters don't appear good enough. The JSP force 8 mask will give better dust protection than this will. I should have done more research befor espending a large amount of money on this.
Good product, good price and excellent service.
First piece of PPE I’ve bought which makes life easier. Lovely cool breeze keeps everything clear - no glasses fog either. Well worth the investment
Great product
The respirator is very comfortable to wear as it is not ""stuck"" to your face like the usual half masks. The constant flow of filtered air helps to prevent getting too sweaty even if wearing for prolonged periods. The unit is reasonably lightweight and it's easy to forget that you're wearing it after a while (a good thing). The head strap has plenty of adjustment even for my MAHOOSIVE melon. It comes in a protective plastic tub which is useful for storing it in whilst not in use. One thing to note is that this version does not come with a charging station, just a USB lead so you will need access to either a spare USB port or suitable plug in order to charge the battery. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with a plug but certainly not a deal breaker. By the way, to turn the battery on and off the button requires a long press. A quick press will let you know how much charge remains with the green, amber and red lights. I almost sent the respirator back as I didn't realise this at first but very glad I didn't. Battery life seems to be very good and certainly adequate for my humble needs. Overall I am happy with the comfort and quality of the respirator and would definitely recommend it.
This is hands down the best purchase I have made for my health as part of my workshop. Often after wood turning or sanding I have had a weezy throat from exposure to to much dust. I've invested in air filters, extractors, and fans to blow the dust away from me but they didn't do the trick. Since using this mask I have not once had a weezy chest. The mask is great as it double as a face shield the battery can see you through a full day if you want. The filters are easy to replace and seem to last a long time. I haven't had to change mine yet and have have exposed the masked to maybe 40 hours worth of sanding. The price is a big hurdle. Not sure why a face shield with a fan built into costs so much so I think they may be over charging due to the value of the protection. Which rubs me the wrong way, but better than the saw dusting rubbing in my lungs.
Works well. Easy to wear. Easy to replace filters. Just a bit expensive.
