I bought my Apex VS Boots in 2023 and they are the most comfortable boots I have had on. Before these, the last new pair were hard shell boots and it took 3 years of getting them bedded in and many trips to the boot fitter to get them anywhere near comfortable. I've just come back from Axamer Lixum, Austria , fantastic skiing but unfortunately on the last afternoon I had a broken buckle. On my return home I got in touch with Apex and the boys there sorted the job out, absolutely first class service. I can't thank them enough. I am ready for my next adventure. GO TEAM APEX.

I am not an internet reviewer, but when something works so well it deserves some praise. I have been looking at these boots for a few years. I am wide and very pronated, broken right foot 3 times, skiing has been a pleasure and pain for many years. I bought the APEX Crestones. Leaving my Lange 130 behind. We were road tripping from MN and visiting relatives in Denver area, so I had the boots already and had been wearing them around the house without the chassis, the Demo Center is in Golden CO, 10 minutes from where we were staying. Made appointment online and got fitted. Great Dude, staff was from MN too, he did a great job explaining how to get into the chassis, and put lifters in. Skied pain free and warm for four days at Wolf Creek CO. I am 55, I can still ski steep terrain but not with as much vigor as I used to. I feel these boots deliver on comfort, warmth and also performance. I felt my performance was better due to the comfort and warmth. Using the provide strap to carry the chassis is easy. Been wanting this for decades. So glad someone finally made it. It's great walking around like a human instead of a slippery robot. They are a little tight on top of my toes though, I'm at the max size for them so that might have something to do with it.

Regretably I had to return my boots because I suffer from partial paralysis in my left foot. Apex customer service was responsive and did their best to work a way around my disability. I was easily able to get a boot on my right foot and loved the feel of the i.mer boot and support of the outer shell on my right foot. This is a NICE product and a good company to do business with.

I haven't had a chance to ski with these boots because I bought them on a hot July day. I can't thank Seth enough for taking the time to get me fitted into a new pair of boots on a summer Friday afternoon. I can't wait for snow to fly in southern Michigan so I can try them out.

I bought the boots in late April after a try-on session at the Apex Golden (CO) office. Truth be told the -30% discount sale tipped the scale, along with my curiosity. I ski an excellent boutique company boot that I’m not ready to give up, and may buy another pair. I have a ski quiver, so why not a boot quiver? I just have to try these Apex boots that everyone seems to love. I’ll look forward to figuring out what kind is ski days fit each boot. To make it clear, I love everything about the Antero VS so far (try on experience, Apex communications, buying experience, and look and feel of the boots), but I won’t try them skiing until next season.
