On my second pair of Apex boots after my old MC-3’s were packed out. It was great working with Seth in the retail store to try on for size and select the Antero boots vs. the Crestone. We did the whole boot fitting and custom heat molding bit and the boots fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable. I will update the review once there is some snow on the ground and I have skied with them.

Great fitting

I’m a ski patroller and I am required to wear my ski boots for an entire shift which can typically be 8 hours up to 12 hours depending on staffing needs. One of the patrollers that I work with bought a pair of Apex ski boots and raved about the comfort. I decided to take a chance and immediately noticed the improvement in terms of comfort. Even better news: there was no drop off in control as well. To me they are the perfect ski boot for anyone putting long hours on the slopes.

I bought the Apex Antero this season and sold my other ski boots the next day and have never looked back. These boots are incredible! They are true to size (Mondo 29) and incredibly comfortable. I also snowboard and it’s awesome that these can be dual function boots! The Boa system allows for customized tightness, adjustable even on the fly! They allow for much easier walking around and I no longer worry about slipping or having pain if taking a break or walking longer distances to the slopes. The carbon fiber shell is rigid and gives a true feel of my skis underneath; it doesn’t feel any different than my previous ski boots. The Antero boots have held up to any and all mountain terrain. My feet no longer ache, even after a 20,000ft vertical ski day. Even after a couple falls, the boot appropriately releases from the ski. It took about 2 ski days to break in these boots. I absolutely LOVE these boots and won’t be buying any other brand in the future. I recommend these boots to all my friends who are usually jealous and intrigued when they see the design and comfort. Only thing one may consider is adding a better/more supportive insole as the basic insole doesn’t provide much arch support on those longer ski days. 10/10, highly recommend, you won’t regret buying these and your feet and knees will thank you on your ski day!

I went to rent skis in Vail Co and was told they would not rent to skis using Apex boots. I called your customer service center on March 27 and left a VM. I have not received a call back. What the heck

I like the Idea of this boot, just wish it was more comfortable with better inserts or an option for more arch support.
