These are one of the best two pairs of shoes I have had in 46 years of running. They are the widest shoes across the forefoot and toe-box of any running shoe available, including all the so-called extra-wide shoes of the other brands - great for runners whose feet may have widened from years of running! They are also flexible, so you don't feel that your feet are strapped to a piece of wood, and the cushioning is phenomenal without you feeling you have lost touch with the ground, so you won't feel any jarring (especially if you are a little older, like me). These are dream shoes that will take you comfortably for a very long way. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Stay wide, Altra!

I’ve been wearing OLYMPUS 6 GTX shoes for 6 months, working on documentary films in Paris and New York, pounding hard pavements for long hours each day and I loved them! Very supportive and light. So I got a pair of mid boots in same style for doing the Overland Track in Tassie in November. I’m training with them now and they are great, so light with so much room for my toes. I have a wide foot and struggle to find hiking boots wide enough. Thanks, Altra!

I've been wearing a pair of Lone Peaks for aa couple of years and I liked them a lot as a barefoot shoot with a sole that was but thicker. I was keen to replace them with a new pair. But. . . . . . I am quite disappointed with the new ones. The sole is much more rigid and inflexible and the top of the toe box is hard not soft and flexible like my old ones. So I am really disappointed with these.
