Quality and finish matched online photos. Feels very premium. Having this finish matching the tapware in our laundry instead of being the typical chrome is a small detail but all those details stack up. Also, both better quality and cheaper than the bunnings / mitre 10 alternatives. Very pleased.

ABI customer services is excellent.

Preferred the HansGrohe tap we replaced with this tap. However, the previous tap didn’t have the 3way function. We received a product that leaked from up near the mixer. API were most helpful over the phone and replaced this for free with another unit, though we had to pay another plumber to come out and install this new one increasing the cost to us. It works as you would expect, though it makes an aerated sound when first turning on water from the mixer. The noise goes away quickly once the water flow starts. No other tap in the house does this, all hansgrohe or methven. It doesn’t have the magnetic connection in the tap nozzle to hold it into the gooseneck, our old tap had this. The magnet stopped the nozzle from hanging down a very insignificant amount after constant use, not a major issue at all though. Overall the product is sound, has a good feel to it and a lovely modern design. I probably wouldn’t purchase from API again though, nothing wrong with the brand, just the product is not quite the standard we want for our home, will definitely need to spend up to 3 times more. For under $800 it is a fine product, I wouldn’t want to pay more just for a different colour though, I do not think that’s a fair price point for the quality received.
