Prior to installation, the contractor conducted a thorough verification to ascertain the adequacy of the box supply. Referring to the labels indicating 20 ft. ² per box, he identified a shortfall. We then ordered more of boxes which were discovered to be unnecessary as each box contained 25 ft. ², not the 20 ft. ² as indicated on the labels. This mislabeling of American imports appears to be a form of customs fraud employed to circumvent tariffs. This is a serious offense. It was reported to the proper authorities. This mislabeling resulted in us having to pay over $500 in unnecessary shipping fees.
