Best option ever for a trail welder!
I am very happy to have this welder. On a recent trip to the Rubicon and Fordyce, I welded up a broken tie rod, and two broken track bar brackets with the internal battery. Later in the trip, I tore my control arm mount off the frame on my own rig. The internal battery was already used up on the 3 prior repairs, but with the karnage cables, I was able to pull batteries and continue the repair. If you wheel hard, don't be caught without one of these to save the day. Be sure to get the optional cables and NoCo Genius charger as well.

Good portable hood
This is a good, low profile, easy to use hood. If carrying it on the trail, dust will get between the lenses, making it hard to see out of. I have started putting mine in a one gallon Ziploc freezer bag to keep the dust out.

Great charger for the Karnage welder
This is perfect to keep your welder ready to go. It is also small enough to pack in the case and take with you, so if you use the welder on a trip, you can recharge it along the way so it's ready for action the next time you need it. You never know when Karnage is going to happen!

Fortunate to have included in my purchase
These cables saves my but on Fordyce. I tore a control arm mount right off the frame, and my welder battery was already dead from 3 other repair jobs that trip. Without these cables, I don't know what I would have done to get back on the trail. With them, it was simple, pull one battery, simply unhook the other, then wire it up, plug in, and keep welding. Be sure to add them to your kit, for when things go really wrong.

I am a believer and this thing will go with my on every trail ride and Ultra4 race.
My Karnage welder arrived well packaged and very quick. Its a heavy unit and feels well constructed. It was fully charged so I figured I would test it out. Once I he’d the tension set correctly on the feed I was able to lay down a very nice weld. The sound it makes is different from my MIG and with the flux core wire it smokes and has scale over the weld. Once you clean the scale off you can see a nice perfect bead of weld. I will admit that I was skeptical about a battery powered welder, but now I am a believer and this thing will go with my on every trail ride and Ultra4 race.

Karnage kicks @$$!!!
I don't have 240VAC in my garage and have been limping by with a 120VAC mig welder for years. Lots and lots of preheating for anything below 12GA or so. Took the Karnage out to garage 15 minutes after recieving it and easily butt welded 3/8" carbon steel with some weld prep but no, nada, zip, ZILCH preheat at all! I then went down to the barn and welded up the bucket on the old Kubota which had split. Again, a little weld prep but no preheat. Put the bucket through it's paces with some coarse recycled concrete blocks that I'm using to shore up the pond outlet. 8 hours of hard labor and the welds are holding up just fine.
