Ordered 4 of these for resale. Arrived and unpacked, had a battery/charging issue right away. Contacted XM and they quickly addressed the issue sending replacement parts. This took 3-4 days. Units work. These are very unique items and have several practical uses, (controlled burns in State/county parks, forestry, ect), however, charging these units is where the issues are, the constant disassembling of the the electoral plugs will be an area of concern, the plugging and unplugging will wear. I think these units could be far better with just a little more effort and engineering for the charging issue. I believe this is relatively easily and simple fix. A unique item that can be better!

Unique item that actually does have some practical uses, (controlled burns, ect. uses by state/county parks services. Ordered a total of 4 for resale, 3 had failures out of the box, battery/charging issues. They were quick to address the issue, but had to wait 3-4 days for replacement items to arrive, customers questioned, reliability. Charging these units is really quite inconvenient, you have to remove 4 screws from the base plate, unplug battery from the PC board, set off to the side and charge. By repeatedly doing this, this is going to be a problem area, electrical plugs will begin to wear from day 1, it's just a fact. I think a little further engineering could easily fix this issue, (which I am currently spending my time and effort to do) once perfected, more to follow!! This will eliminate the need to disassemble for charging. This is a private venture, XM wasn't interested in aiding. Great novelty item with a lot of potential! Just needs a little bit of refinement.
