Good product but some concerns with the slat versus mesh tray

I think they're great. . . with one caveat: I use them exclusively for Cat Grass and once the cat gets to them he tears the grass, dirt, sometimes the dish itself apart. All because the growth is so successful! I wish there was a way to avoid this. But not the success!
