What can I say, we had the same old story - a declining marriage brought to it's head by infidelity. I knew we needed counseling so I started looking online but instead I found Mort's website. The only negative review I could find anywhere was not even related to the program itself! So I decided to see what this was about and signed up for his emails. It's only been uphill since then. We finished the 7 week program and are now in the Plugged-In program so we have weekly work to keep us on track and this has been nothing short of a miracle. Our marriage is better than it has been in 18 years in just WEEKS. Save yourself from the misery of counseling and try this instead, this program is not a gimmick and will save your marriage!

I was very skeptical at first (no offense Mort! It's just my personality) so I signed up for the emails because they were free and I wanted daily advice. The emails were SO helpful right from the beginning in changing my paradigms, teaching me about marriage and relationships and helping me understand the process that not long after, I enrolled in the the Marriage Fitness boot camp, Lone-ranger track. It's been an amazing blessing and is already worth it wherever things go with my marriage (of course I am hoping for the best!) Today I unexpectedly came face to face with the mistress and honestly, it took everything inside me not to claw her eyes out or flee but I remained quite calm and mature and was able to handle the situation somewhat dignified. I think before Mort my instincts would have drastically taken over and could have been disastrous. I'm going forward with each email & step in the program and my confidence grows each day. Mort, Thank you for all the emails! I am so glad I found your site and signed up. I was one of those people that thought it was all my husband and your emails really helped me realize the damage I was doing to our marriage by denying my husband any positive actions. What I was also doing was punishing myself to the point of terrible depression and anxiety attacks. Your emails helped me to realize what I was doing and what I should be doing. It was a great start to turn our marriage around. But we still need help to guide both of us to the best marriage and total connection. That will require the boot camp. Money is tight so I am waiting for my schedule to lighten up so I can devote my full attention and hope my husband will join me as well. I know he will not read or listen to CDs but may interact with another person on the phone so he can retain an anonymous feeling. He was brought up in a "no affection" dysfunctional family and I believe your boot camp will help him learn how to show affection and make that connection beyond what I am showing him. I was brought up in a very affectionate environment but after being hurt both physically and emotionally by others I began building "walls" to, what I thought, protect my hurt feelings. You opened my eyes to what those walls were actually doing to me and it wasn't good. We have been married for 34 years now and it is our first (and only) marriage for both of us. It is definitely worth saving. Thank you again for getting me started on changing myself and my marriage. I look forward to signing up for the boot camp in the next few months!

For anyone wanting to work on their marriage, whether it is completely falling apart or just limping along, Mort's daily emails are most helpful. There is much food for thought, things to contemplate, action points to put into practice, and tips that perhaps we know innately but fail to remember in the times of a crisis. I recommend Mort's approach to marriage repair to anyone - even if you are just wanting to make your relationship stronger. I would suggest you don't wait until its falling apart to tune in!

I'm still working through the book, but so far so good. The knowledge is delivered practically in a today's voice. It's easy to understand the concepts and even easier to practice as long as you are committed to improve your situation.

Dear Mort, Thank you for your advise. I find them sound and practical. I subscribe now to the idea of not talking about the problem and just go beyond that to being the best version of myself that I can be and the effect of that will be a favorable response from my spouse. I always thought we should talk about the problem so we can address it but that is not true. The more I wanna talk things through the bigger the chasm that kept us apart. Followingvyour advise, I have learned to look beyond the issue and let it go and the chasm is slowly closing though he is still living apart from me and my kids. After all the emotional turmoil I went through, there's now peace within me not because he has changed but because I have and also because of my faith in a God who restores all things including my marriage. I appreciate your news letters. They are informative & somewhat helpful. But i would need to purchase The program to save my marriage which sounds like a program that might work. I think you are a very, I say VERY smart guy and I wonder what formal education you have? I myself is a psychologist and I think you probably are the same or at least someone with an exceptional sense of empathy and with a very high level of intelligence. Congratulations to you! As for your e-mails I really apprecciate and enjoy them. They help me to improve my marriage and avoid the pitfalls which are very easy to fall into... I am currently in the Marriage Fitness Bootcamp and I am in the loan ranger track. This has helped me immensely with dealing with a obstinate spouse. He helps me understand what is going on and how I got here. I have a long way to go but I'm much happier with myself and thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I do have my first one on one counseling with Mort this Friday and I am looking forward to it. My husband will be with me as well. 🙂

Mort, the emails always seemed to be right on with every situation that seemed to come up. Every time I was dealing with something I would check my emails and your email would seem to always cover my dilemma. Like you were a step ahead of my wife and knew what was coming next. I haven't completed the whole program but it is helping me tremendously. Wether or not my marriage survives , what I am learning will benefit me the rest of my life.

I look forward to the daily emails as though it's like a quick call from a friend to check on you, especially when you're feeling lost. A few of the messages really stand out and I re-read them for support when thoughts are scattered or feelings are particularily low.
