Our trip guide was the best of the best. Never have we had someone who in addition to being knowledgeable and organized, was compassionate, caring, and treated us as a family member. The people were amazing as well as welcoming and forgiving of the past. They taught us to look forward rather than back. The country itself had amazing scenery and diversity. I never felt at risk or unsafe at any time with our guide. Could not have asked for a better more exciting vacation.

I enjoyed the mix of seeing tourist sites as well as meeting local people in their villages and homes.

the weather was kind in January. Traffic takes a little getting used to. Food was very good throughout the trip. thoughtfully planned home hosted and home visits. Our trip leader was simply excellent, Tho was one of the best we have had in 14 trips, a real asset to OAT.

A wonderful trip everything I expected and more. Julio was excellent and made everyday special. The day guides were all outstanding . Our group was very congenial which made the trip more enjoyable. I only wish we had another day in Buenos Aires to fully explore the city.

Different guides in each 'country' gave nuanced perspectives while explaining different political points of view. The food on the ship Clio was awesome and it was almost impossible not to overeat -- being full after excellent breakfast and lunch and then facing a four-course dinner, each course of which was inventively enticing. The January weather 'dampened' the comfort level of some of the excursions.

Great trip! Some accommodations were slightly dated but all were great locations and very comfortable! Clean and great service! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and became an integral part of the enjoyment of the trip....always helpful and kept us on schedule! All the transportation was clean and comfortable! We had a great time throughout the trip. Never was the food bad...a couple of places were good but not great. Several of our dinners were exceptional!

Lin was one of the two best trip leaders I have had in all my years of traveling. Able to think on her feet and adapt to changing situations. Accessible, patient, good-natured and knowledgable. Suggestion: provide lanyards with attached name tags to wear for first few days. Suggest

Our trip to Venice, Italy and Croatia was outstanding! Outstanding in so many ways. Sights. food, field trips, home-hosted meals, local guides, companions, hotel, and ship. But perhaps the mosy outstanding part of our trip was our trip leader and friend Louise. She was everything you would want in atrip leader and more. it was an amazing experience! The vastness, natural beauty and wild life was more than I expected. The trip leaders, crew and expedition staff were great.

Don't be chicken, don't be shy, go to Antarctica before you die!!

Excellent tour everything was amazing day after day!

I liked everything about this trip. One of the best I've been on. Just the right amount of down time and many activities everyday. I loved all the hotels...all different but mostly charming. Our trip leader, Mariela, was fantastic. She truly made the trip fun, interesting and memorable. All of the other guides were really good.

From North to South and Middle Earth, the majestic vistas, vibrant cities, and tranquil countrysides paint a breath-taking mosaic of the wonders of New Zealand. Our OAT Country Experience leader, Catherine Hickey, was amazing in sharing her encyclopedic knowledge of all things New Zealand and smoothly guiding us from adventure to adventure. Her suggestions for free time activities and meals were varied and spot on. For a group with an average age of mid 60's, it was well-paced. I highly recommend this trip.

This trip has a lot of variety. We visited cloud forest, rain forest, farms, beaches and cities. We met school children and entrepreneurs. We ate tropical fruits, savory picadillos, and lots of gallo pinto (rice and beans). The bird were stunning, but there were also mammals, amphibians, reptiles. Andres is an experienced guide with a wealth of knowledge about the natural world, a wonderful ambassador for his country. He also had us in stitches with accounts of his many adventures! What a fabulous experience!

This was our third OAT tour. We had a personable, humorous, and knowledgeable guide in Andres, who paced the trip well and made accommodations for members of our group. We were interested in the history and culture of CR and his talks about his country were lively and informed and as detailed as our tour group requested. The bus travel was thus always a pleasure, and our driver was expert at navigating roads that would be challenging to a novice driver. The hotels were always comfortable but not "posh" and the food was uniformly very good. Perhaps the most wonderful thing about this tour is the wildlife we saw, especially the beautiful birds of CR. We are enthusiastic but not expert birders. Andres IS an expert, and during the tour we saw and recorded over 85 new bird species (not counting the quick glimpses or bird songs that Andres recognized).

Walking among penguins and seals, laughing at cute chicks trying to climb a rock, riding in a zodiac next to icebergs that are tens of thousands of years old -- it all helps you put your life in perspective. Learning from the terrific naturalists makes you passionate about Antarctica. Being served and fed by the fantastic crew makes you feel pampered in the process. This trip might have been life-changing.
