I bought my Engel cooler nine years ago and just now had to replace a latch on the lid. This cooler has served me so well and will for many more years to come.

We used our Engel cooler when we cruised on our boat. We chose Engle because of the low voltage usage. We could run it on solar power. After we sold the boat we kept the cooler. It was stored in the attic when the house caught on fire but the Engle survived! We just had to replace the cords. It is a little singed but still works perfectly. We are using it now as an extra freezer.

I have a 35 and 65 with some of the accessories, great in the boat don't mark up my gelcoat in my brand new boat. Keep ice forever! Thanks

I use this for extra tackle. It works great, keeps salt water off my tackle and doesn't take up a lot of space.

The rod holders are exactly what I was looking for. They are sturdy and I was able to place them on my cooler where I needed them.

I've bought 2 Engel Coolers in the past 2 weeks and love them. I bought a 65QT and 80QT in the Coastal White for my boat, the color match is awesome and the first 20lbs sack of ice last 3 day.

Very, very happy with the customer service. Despite the difficult times that we are all working in, I was always kept informed of the status of the delivery and offered alternatives when it appeared that the shipment would be delayed for some time. Thankfully it was not, and now my MT80 sits aside my MT45 as my fridge and freezer respectively. Thanks Engel!

stainless hinges are great. They swing out a little more than the runner hinges (only matters for boat—if you have the cooler backwards and snugged up to your center console). The big plusses: they lay flat when open and they are easier to adjust for closure tightness. The cooler pad / mat looks great, especially on boats like Whalers with a lot of mahogany. Not spongy like some helm mats but typical of the adhesive boat flooring.

These coolers are by far the best ,much better than the frabill brand. The air pump is superior with a great seal around the pump not allowing that sea water to get in and ruin components inside. Another great feature is the two speeds it runs on. A car plug is also included in case the batteries run down as well. If you should have problems the company has awesome customer realations as well. They stand behind there prouducts 100%. Thanks Engel !

Good day Engel Folks, Thanks very much for an exceptional refer+freezer product. So far it is exceeding our expectations and we are quite happy we made the choice to select from your line of products. A bit of our background; we live on our 35' sailing catamaran with a 12v refer and about 2 years ago we overhauled our in-galley unit to accept a small freezer box shaped cold plate supplied with a Danfoss BD 35 compressor and digital thermostatic variable speed controller. Living with this air cooled system we are quite familiar with the performance characteristics and limitations of a small 12v DC refrigeration system. Our first operation experience with our new Engel was on the cabin sole in the main salon only feet from the permanently installed unit onboard. The Engel is not only more quiet in operation, but seemed to cool the box contents a bit faster (Albeit a smaller box and the swing compressor seemed to cycle more often, but running less time each interval). Not bad for a unit that can be easily carried in a car. We recently made a three day road trip to get clear of the nonsense of the city before the travel restrictions of COVID 19 were imposed and were happy to have this well performing unit in our van. Now staying well outside of the local small town with friends, our Engel with the solar panel and 6) deep cycle 6v batteries provides the confidence of a solar powered dependable source of refrigeration and freezing capacity in the event of an extended power outage. I do not mean to sound doomsday preper-ish as this is not my style, but it is nice to know we have this card to play if we have to. Its my experience that most product reviews are from folks who have limited knowledge and experience with products and they seek to say positive things even if there is no real basis for the support.
