My wife and I did
My wife and I did the 7-day volunteer mission. We had a wonderful time in Israel. Our guide, Barak, is very knowledgeable about Israel and personable. He did a fantastic job. We were happy to be able to help Israel in this time of need by participating in the volunteer projects and contributing to the economy. The whole experience was very rewarding!

Fantastic Experience!
Our mission trip to Israel was AMAZING. I’m so glad I went. My 20 or so new best friends from around the USA, Canada, and Australia and I truly walked the walk. A. We felt safe. B. Israel needs YOU. C. Go! You won’t regret it. Don’t be afraid, just do it! Be sure to fly El Al. Here’s what we accomplished in just 7 days: 1. We sorted donated goods to be delivered to refugees from northern and southern Israel, displaced by Hezbollah & Hamas attacks. 2. We sorted rescued fruit that was going to be thrown out by grocery stores. We separated the ugly-but-still-edible peaches, nectarines, and citrus into crates for distribution to needy families. Those that didn’t make the cut were tossed into bins for feeding livestock. They told us that in just one hour of volunteer work we sorted enough fresh produce to feed 1,100 families. 3. We assembled homemade sandwiches for IDF troops with love and blessings for their safety, their courage, and their success. It started with the blessing of the challah dough. 4. At a Tel Aviv “soup kitchen” we helped prepare 100s of meals, cleaned, did dishes, and danced! We also helped stock shelves in its small attached grocery store where the food insecure can “shop” for free. 5. We picked weeds in a spinach patch on a farm outside Tel Aviv because Israel is super short of farm workers right now. 6. We put together 300 goody bags of a can of soda, chips, something sweet, and a heartfelt note for IDF soldiers. 7. We each planted an oak tree in memory of the October 7th Victims. And we witnessed and learned and saw so much more! Very satisfying to actually DO something

Overall experience was excellent! Our guide (Gatti) was AMAZING. . . as was the bus driver. One critique would be to better explain the physical nature of some of the volunteer work: moving heavy cartons of donated items in a warehouse, cooking and cleaning in a commercial kitchen, etc. . . . the work seemed to be longer and harder than I expected. Not to scare people, but to better prepare them. Nice balance of planned dinners as well as free time. . . . the group Facebook account prior to the trip was a GREAT way to get to know each other in advance. The hotels were 3 star not 4 star as listed, but still clean and adequate. VERY moving and a worthwhile adventure!

Morocco is a wonderful country
Morocco is a wonderful country and getting to see if from the Jewish perspective made it even more meaningful. Toby did an outstanding job of bringing our group together and developing a real camaraderiebetween us. Whether we were shopping in a shuk, riding dune buggies through the desert, touring a synogogue or haviing a meal together, we were always having fun. HIghly recommend the Morocco experience!

Great trip and leadership. Guide
Great trip and leadership. Guide was knowledgeable On history of the current situation and history of Israel. We did meaningful volunteer projects in multiple locations. Sorting fruit, weeding spinach on the farm, working at a soup kitchen. We prepared food for soldiers, visited the Nova site and other meaningful places around the country. Highly recommended.

Powerful and Meaningful
We went to Israel with Authentic Israel to volunteer and tour. We had the opportunity to help farmers, soldiers, and residents while touring sites that were devastated by the 7 October attack. The hotels were very nice, particularly 2 blocks from the beach in Tel Aviv. When we weren't working at a farm or other site, we were touring historical areas with a knowledgeable guide who explained everything to us all week. We also had some free time and a wonderful shabbos meal on Friday night. We're still in touch with the other people that were on the tour, as many of us bonded with each other during the trip. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

Hard to put into words how wonderful my trip was!
Authentic Israel has sent over 1000 people to Israel on the volunteer for Israel in Israel trips. It was extremely well organized from the first email to the final day. Our trip had 26 people on it from all over the US and together with our two amazing madrichim (guides) we had 7 days of amazing experiences. From visiting and packing MREs at Zikim Army Base, to serving meals to soldiers, to picking hot chili peppers, each day offered the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to Israel and Israelis in a totally non-political atmosphere. We met with a wide range of people from active soldiers tp a doctor who help save people on October 7th to Ethiopian immigrants and really got to know them and understand the situation from the inside. Visiting the Nova site was handled really well, as well as time spent at hostage square and at the Kotel (Wailing Wall) for Shabbat. The meals and accommodations were excellent, but the best part was getting to know Israelis, our group, the guides and drivers (we are still in touch on WhatsApp). I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to help Israel. As the Nova survivors say, "We will dance again!" - go and see this unfold for yourself!
