Vinegar Syndrome is basically dangerous if you’re into physical media 😁 There’s always some weird movie, ridiculous slipcover, or random piece of merch that ends up in my cart. What keeps me coming back is the quality. The releases usually feel genuinely collector-focused, packaging is handled with care, and the restorations and presentation are consistently strong. Shipping can sometimes require a little patience, but overall I’ve had a very good experience ordering from them and they’re still one of my favorite boutique labels.

I’ve ordered from Vinegar Syndrome enough times at this point to know what to expect, and they keep me coming back. The packaging is usually excellent, the releases feel like they’re made by people who actually care about physical media, and there’s always something weird or interesting showing up that I probably didn’t need but bought anyway 😁 Shipping can test my patience once in a while, but the overall experience has been very solid and the quality of the releases makes it worth it. Still one of my favorite boutique labels to collect from.

Beautifully shot on 16 & 35mm and channeling an Argento Suspiria/Inferno infused color palette it draws you in visually with a hazy dream-like atmosphere. Fragmented plot will leave you a bit puzzled at its conclusion, which seems perfectly in line with the viewing experience. Lucy Fry is amazing in the lead role. Writer/Director Julie Pacino's commentary is well worth a listen.
