This was a fun course that helped me get better at jamming and soling by really being able to lock on the chord changes. Plenty of fun lessons where you learn licks in the styles of the blue masters while you learn music theory behind what you’re doing.

I have 3 courses from Steve Mougin on Bluegrass guitar methods. They are super useful and very well-designed and delivered. Funny that the thing that jumps out the most to me is how relaxed Steve’s strumming is and just how good it sounds. I’m putting so many of these methods into practice already. So these were great investments.

I recently purchased the Smooth Jazz Handbook by Paul Brown and I’ve been really impressed with the course methodology. I’m from Brazil, from the countryside of São Paulo state, and I couldn’t find many smooth jazz courses in Portuguese. Discovering this platform made me very happy because it allows me to study two languages at the same time: music and English. What I really appreciate is that the course focuses first on musical concepts like phrasing, restraint, groove, listening, and interaction with the band instead of just teaching random licks. Coming from a rock and classic metal background, especially bands like Iron Maiden, this approach is helping me rethink improvisation in a much more melodic and musical way. Highly recommended for any guitarist looking to develop musicality, phrasing, and maturity in their playing.
