I had a tree that's roots were raising my driveway and sidewalk. I was hoping for a solution of cutting the roots and repairing the concrete without having to take out the tree. So, hearing that the root surgery would only stress the tree and more roots would rapidly grow to make up for the loss, as much as they and I wanted to save the tree, the reality was it had to go before foundation issues arise. I respect their suggestion, they were very professional and logical not telling me what I wanted to hear. Great people!

Needed help on diagnosing tree problem, Emailed Tree Help with description of trees and pictures of leaves.Within a few hours my email was answered, I provided information they asked for, thirty minutes later I had a diagnosis of tree problem and also recommendation to help tree. Two years ago the 90+ year old American Elm that saved my life (longer story) dropped all her leaves in a week. She is one of the last living examples of this species surviving in the area. I have been watering and caring for this tree for 20 years, and was heartbroken that I may have failed her. I applied Treehelp's 3 step care program that fall and each consecutive spring, and WOW! She looks great now!! Her trunk is turgid and her limbs have fat buds out to the tips! She is a street tree, and I realized that she provides such wonderful shade and color and shape all year long, but when she sheds her leaves, they are all taken away by the city, so she is starving to death! I was leery of having to augur such a small space to add the fertilizer, but I was judicious, and I also found that holes emerging cicadas left behind were perfect for pouring in the nutrients. The City was ready to chop her down, but now she looks great! I cannot recommend the three step kit highly enough, especially if you are not giving your tree back her leaves after she shaded you all summer!!
