I was super excited when this detergent was announced as my husband plays rugby and had a LOT of stinky, sweaty activewear. I was looking for something that would help cut through the sweat and stains and leave his gear smelling fresh… or at least clean. We were both excited to try this out due to the name “marine” and the notes listed. We both enjoy aquatic, fresh scents, and our every day detergent is the Isle scent. Unfortunately, the scent underperformed and instead smells like moth balls, or a widowed grandmothers house with doilies and very old furniture. Not exactly the scent wants wafting on him while he is training. It does not smell fresh to us, but stale and musty. I’m a huge Laundress fan, and will continue to use my beloved Isle detergent forever and ever, but this activewear detergent definitely missed the mark for us. 3 stars because I have a hard time rating it any lower due to quality still being there. Just the scent is not for us. As always, customer service and shipping time is always on par with quality of their product and I am always so impressed with their customer care. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want to make their shopping experience and product experience as hassle free and positive as possible.
