I approached The Active Reader seeking guidance so I can help support my daughter, now in Senior Kindergarten, as she learns how to read. I participated in a 1:1 session where I learned tools that I can implement at home that not only fit into our busy lives but are also allowing my daughter to develop a love of learning. I highly recommend a 1:1 session to all parents!

We have had these cards for a year and they live on our kitchen table. The active reader has become a staple in our home. The quality of the cards is amazing and so well layed out. My son picks a letter of the day and will find objects in the home to match our letter. These cards are the perfect handy tool for exposure and working them into every day play easily.

Such a warm communicative company

I build these cards in with the routine we have at home into the curriculum we are already following. Not only are they super easy to work into ANY type of lifestyle, but they are helpful and an excellent guide to the little minds. These cards have kept my 2.5 year old’s interest for about a year now - there are so many interesting and creative ways to incorporate them into our daily routine. I can’t believe how many letters she can recognize now through both sight and speech. They are also very excellent quality and will be in great shape for my youngest child to use as well.

My two year old daughter has a love for letters so I knew that the Active Reader pack would be a hit. Excellent way to teach letters and reading

Love the design and how portable and convenient these cards are. We use them on road trips and to keep the kids occupied with simple activities.

I wasn’t sure if my 18 month old would be quite ready for these cards yet but I’m so glad I picked them up! She likes to play with the cards and was able to trace the letters when we got the cards and make some of the letter sounds. She is 21 months now and is able to clearly sound out the letters and words when we are playing with the cards and doing the associated activities. Her vocabulary has been improving and I’m sure these cards have played a role in that! Also, the activity ideas on the back have been a great way to build in the letter sounds and to kill time in a meaningful and educational way during the pandemic!

We introduced the early reader cards to my son when he was 2.5 years old and he has always been advanced in language so most other reading systems meant for his age he found boring and did not actually advance where his comprehension already was. He loves these cards and now at 3.5 he’s much more advanced than most kids even a couple of years older, confidently spelling and reading many words already. The cards are also beautifully made, from the look to the feel, the quality is evident and the activities on each card give them a lot of longevity. Highly recommend!

These cards are SO great! The first thing I noticed was what high-quality they were constructed of. My grandkids have been using them with me and they want to do them over and over again! The finger tracing on each card has been wonderful for learning to draw letters properly. I love how the capital letters are included on each card as well so they can see the differences. The activities are very creative and fun! They are not just a regular old school flash card. Very good value!
