Shipping protection is a scam. I order much more expensive items from Amazon and other vendors, and shipping protection is not even offered. The risk of the item getting lost and damaged during transport has to be borne by the freight company, and ultimately the vendor - that's their job; and such cost should not be passed to the client. When you see protection being offered, you can tell the vendor does not want to be responsible to make sure the item will get to your door as contracted and makes you think what a headache it will be if something happens, so you are forced to buy shipping protection. Nobody wants accountability these days. I. e. : I don’t want to be responsible for delivering the item you paid me to deliver, so let’s have you pay a little more for the piece of mind, and so I don’t have to do the job you hired me to do.
