I’m in ATL. The colors in this scarf tend more toward autumn/winter here. I wear it with blacks, beiges/browns, greens and reds. I use scarves to jazz up solid colors. This scarf will be a workhorse accessory for me. The very design has a lot of detailed intricacies and many colors, it is classic William Morris! I love it!

Mere moments after I placed my first order, I realized I forgot a team member. I needed another shirt. It really was 10 minutes and I wanted to add to the order. I made a phone call. I was told the order was already picked and nothing could be added. Really? Tell me the truth - it can’t be done. I have an easier time with that answer than it’s been picked already. So I bought one more Tee shirt and had to pay the same delivery fee as the three shirts. Bummer.

I really find the quality of everything I’ve ordered from the Met to be good ole fashioned quality! Nice to experience quality now days.

Loved the book. Very carefully researched. All the familiar works are explored, with many preparatory drawings included to show how carefully Raphael planned and executed everything he did. Much biographical information is presented as well. The title really caught my attention and my smiling approval, but I would have liked more information on why it was chosen. One tends to associate Raphael's conception of poetry with his Parnassus and his personification of Poetry, so I want to know more about the extended ekphrastic connection implied. Raphael, like his fellow-artists of the Renaissance, wanted to bring back the best of the classical past; perhaps he was familiar with more Latin poetry than the traditional epics that we study in other contexts? It's a tantalizing supposition. This book brings back happy memories of my youthful visits to Italy and the Vatican. If we can't all travel to the Met this spring, we can all enjoy this book, and I further hope that someday we will have the joy of meeting Raphael's spirit in Paradiso.
