Great options for a DYI with skills and workshop or a buddy with these. I have always wanted a challenge target but the price to enter was always an issue. The company was great to respond to my questions. The instructions for assembly were complete and well written.

Over the years, the only thing I have had to repair was the hook and loop where I donned and doffed every day, and having First Spear tubes already negates that problem. This time around, I wanted to upgrade to a full SAPI cut. This carrier is almost there, and here are some ways I would improve it: 1. The admin pouch is almost unusable once you put plates in it. I would make it bigger so it can actually be utilized to its potential. Currently, I can fit only a notebook and pen. 2. The hook and loop shoulder straps need to be able to store in itself without being exposed. It looks unprofessional and is a catch risk otherwise. Putting a loop panel on the inside flap of the shoulder cushion would make this possible. 3. There should be one more row of laser cuts on the bottom of each panel, because some third part pouches will not be able to secure properly otherwise, and you’ll end up with having to move everything up one row to be uniform. 4. Although it fits, a full SAPI plate will not necessarily match perfectly with the cut of the carrier. OCD guys like me will be bothered by it for sure. I know I do not want to have to make these sort of modifications on a brand new carrier, especially after paying this much money in the first place. I would imagine the average buyer would not want to either. But these are simple ways this flagship carrier can be improved on, and I hope they are at least considered for the next version. If SAS does, guarantee this will be a top tier contender in the market.

Very comfortable with all 4 plates in. Adjustable, and well fitted. I haven't been fired upon so can't speak to the 3+ rating, however did receive the paperwork from official lab testing showing no penetration tested with 7. 61X51 M80. So I'll trust that.

The look of the Flex Fused Core® Level IIIA armor is great and the fitment of the shirt is good. The one issue that I noticed was the plate pockets on the front and back are a little small for the plates which causes the plates to wrinkle up around the edges.
