Other mattress pads we have had did not breath, which caused us to sleep hot. This mattress pad has greatly reduced that as described. You can buy a cooling type mattress but if you don't have the correct mattress protector, like this one, it cancels out what the mattress is supposed to do.

Description claimed "No more flipping - to the cool side", but I still have to flip. It's cool at first, but warms up. Not convinced this is better than a $25 pillow.

This is the first pillow, my wife won't let me say how long I have had my previous pillow, that has not caused my neck any pain. Cooling is nice, however, it does heat up causing me to constantly flip it till my head cools off later in the night. I do love the support I get for my neck.
