It amplifies the signal like it says. Eleven to thirteen decibels is enough for a really weak signal.

Does not boost signal as much as I was told when connected to my Drive Sleek. Only adds one bar (from 2 to 3) over the Sleek antenna.

The booster works. I used it for the 1st time at a campground on the Oregon coast that is famous for poor cell coverage. The booster took 1 bar or Verizon and T-Mobile and turned it into 4-bars. Testing with a wifi speed check app, I got 20 mps download and no upload speeds on the T-Mobile hotspot. Mostly, I want this booster to have cell phone availability while boondocking. It probably won't help to upload video to Youtube but I'll be able to surf, download and stream. I think having cell phone service/coverage is a safety issue while boondocking and this the booster will really help.
