The only other helmet that I have had before this one was a rock climbing helmet back in the 1970s. If you needed a helmet for something, there would be something lying around that kinda fit and sorta worked to keep from getting a ticket. Boy, have times and technology changed to the present day. In my case, I looked at the website for a while, getting an idea of what I thought I was going to need, which ended up falling right on the fence between S1 Lifer and the S1 Mega Lifer XXL. So I called up the customer service line and talked with a customer service representative who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about S1 Helmets' product line and the requirements for sizing and fitting an S1 Helmet. A great call and a great rep who turned me loose with my newly minted education in skating helmets to order an S1 Lifer Mega XXL without a fit kit and some terrycloth liners. During my "Fitting" consult, it was determined that the bit that came with the helmet would be enough to properly fit the helmet. (But if you are not sure, by all means add the fit kit to your order. ) When it arrived, I sat down with it and went through the video online, and the well-written book that comes with the helmet. I now have a Beautiful new helmet that will allow me to skate in our stadium this winter in Minneapolis or anywhere that I choose to skate outdoors around town. That is certified Safe and really good looking. I got the S1 Mega Lifer Helmet - Black Gloss Glitter, and it fits very well.

I bought two helmets. They fit great and the liners are helpful to get the perfect fit. Style of these are cool too.

Comfortable. Durable. I like the "liner fit" system. Looking to buy the knee and elbow pad set next.

The knee pads are really strong and comfortable. The 4. 5 gen are diffrent then 4 gen. The diffrence is that knee pro pads 4 has 5 layer of foam and s1 knee pad pro 4. 5 gen has only 4, but that layer where 2 layers of foam was located, now there is one thicker and, soffter layer of foam, which is so comfortable and good for protection. My knee dont feel that pain while landing on scooter, compare to cheaper knee pads, where i was feeling the ground. I highly recommend to buy thats pads, which is pretty good, soft, comoftable and most important thing - it can offer you really solid protetetion.

It arrived quickly, the material is excellent, the hearing is slightly reduced but understandable, as is rearward visibility, but overall it's an excellent product. If you follow the instructions for measurements it is the correct measurement.
