Another hanging scroll, another piece of Japanese art history. A 300 year old painting by 英一蝶. While it needs some restoration, for a piece of at least 300 year old paper, the ink painting has not faded much. The Kakejiku mount is more modern and suggests a more recent remounting. Shipping took awhile to clear customs, however box and scroll were wonderful packed and undamaged. For any collector who can appreciate the value of owning history, one understands the beauty of surviving the passage of time in each crease, discoloration, and hole, This is splendid store for purchases.

Very satisfied with my first purchase, while it did take some time to clear customs, it has arrived, well packed with care and without damage. Owner Shinichi was very polite as well as responsive to questions and concerns prior to package arrival.
